Is BLM being gentrified by white America, who truly understands the value of black life? We discussed this and how white influence on black social injustice issues could potentially be a problem or be of major help. Black America should be heading their own battles, much like the civil rights movements before the influx of white influence, which deviated the goal from maldistribution of resources to plainly and solely social integration. We hope this episode allows you to think about who should be fighting our battles and who shouldn't.

“The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the black woman”. Malcolm X said that in 1962, and 58 years later we still live in a country that devalues, disrespects and undermines black women. From the fraudulent handling of the Breonna Taylor case by Attorney General Daniel Cameron, to the monetizing of abusing a black woman by Tory Lanez, we as a community need to do better with the way we treat black women, don't just talk about it, be about it.

Black People in suburban neighborhoods are often times complacent, they believe they've reached a level of eliteness and superiority in comparison to black people in poverty stricken communities. We discussed and compared the suburban black people, to black people in poverty stricken communities, and how their mindset towards the black race as a whole can either be positive or negative. The complacent mindset of suburban black people poses a real threat for the progression of the black community as a whole, so we dissected that and addressed what can be done to fix that. We also had a heated discussion about classism and materialism at the end.

An honest discussion about the flaws with being morality upright in the black community and how that mindset holds us back from being genuine within ourselves individually and as a collective group when it comes to race relations in this country. Forget trying to be morally upright constantly and start focusing on being practical and productive!
