Extra Paint - The @Muralists Podcast

Join me, Eric Freidensohn aka Efdot, Brooklyn based artist and muralist for the Extra Paint podcast. In this episode I speak with Sanskar Sawant, a Mumbai-based creator, designer and installation artist. Using balance, pattern and texture, Sanskar creates spaces that inspire and delight from every angle. Sanskar is founder of Bacon and Eggs space design studio, where he brings murals to life, connecting culture with creativity to make outstanding works of art.

We dive deep into the process Sanskar uses to create art that reflects the place where it was created, working with different surfaces and how to stay creative during a pandemic.

In this episode I speak with another good friend of mine, Enriqueta Arias, founder of Artsynonym, a creative house based in Mexico City. Enriqueta has leveraged her unique position as artist liaison with the collective to move from working with agencies to working directly with brands like Gucci, Nike and WeWork, elevating other artists along the way. We speak about Enriqueta’s passion for change, female representation in the world of murals and how the big brands don’t always have the big budgets.
