Take up arms, #SPNFamily, against the season-long tyranny of the British Men of Letters! Join Leah and Taekia as they talk Crowley’s disappointing departure, Ketch and his black sheet, evil Hogwarts, and the fact that there was that one episode where Lucifer was the president.

Two food tents, both alike in dignity,

In a traveling fair, where we lay our scene...

Giuseppe’s Zeppole and Finnigan’s Family Funnel Cakes had been harboring a rivalry for as long as they'd both been traveling the same fair circuit. Unfortunately, their daughters have other plans.

Lord Asriel is here to Dumbledore this for you. (Warning, we curse a little bit in this episode.)

There's no sorting this week, or perhaps we're ALWAYS sorting? Because we don't know if Asriel is a Ravenclaw or a Slytherin, but it's probable he's one of those. Join us to discuss Chapter 21, Lord Asriel's Welcome, where he finally faces a defiant Lyra (00:03:20), then our Alethiometer reading (01:19:12), the Mixtape (01:25:09) and the Extra Award (01:33:29)!

Next week, we finish the book. Then we'll start having some guests on to unpack it all.

Let us know what you think via twitter (@extraneouspod) or IG (@extraneous.pod), or better yet send us a voicemail at [email protected] and we can play it on the show!

Remember to rate/review/etc! Also make sure to check out the His Dark Materials Mixtape!

Don’t cry that single man tear, Taekia and Leah are here, as always, with your weekly dose of Supernatural analysis and delirious commentary. We've got a lot of feelings about Charlie, as expected, and break down the 200th episode the only way a true fan can: constantly giggling and on the verge of tears. Hit play and enjoy the madness!

It's THUNDERDOME and we are in it with Iorek and Iofur. In our Sorting (00:06:00) we decide where to place the Usurper Bear King, Iofur Raknison; then it's every last detail of Mortal Combat, Ch 20 (00:10:41), followed by our alethiometer readings (00:53:00), the Mixtape (00:56:12), and our Extra Award (01:00:27). Just one chapter this week as we get ready for Dumbledo- we mean, Asriel, to arrive next time.

BEARS! We are in Svalbard and there are a lot of bears about, none of which stands as tall as Lyra.

We get started with our sorting segment, and the honor of our consideration this week goes to Serafina Pekkala (00:01:58). Next, we move on to our breakdown of chapters 18-19 (00:06:29, 00:50:54). Then, we have our overall impressions of these chapters (01:26:01), our Alethiometer reading (01:28:53), this week’s HDM Mixtape (01:34:17), and Extra Award (01:39:53).

Quick - guess how long we spent talking about Sacrifice? We’ll give you a hint: way too long. Taekia and Leah go extra deep on Season 8 because really what else would you expect? Multiple tablets, angel factory settings, Amelia’s real machinations, and the little ship that could (don’t judge us, mom) are all part of this one.

Whoaaaaaa we’re halfway there! Do you remember how good Season 7 actually was? Probably not, because BOY were Leah and Taekia surprised at how much fun they had rewatching it. Join them as they can’t help but say “Dick” a million times, wax poetic over how much they love Lucifer, and go pretty hard on other cultural uses of the song “Poison.”
