Richard Gauntlett can be found on that Cruise Ship on your holiday, in that musical in the West End, in an opera, in a Pantomime... he directs, produces, writes and stars in his own works and is a wonderful comedy variety act with an extensive knowledge of Show Business.
Dickie and I chat about his initiation into the famous Order and we talk his grandfather Freddie Gauntlett and about fellow Brother Rats such as heroes of his including Charles Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Norman Wisdom and many more.
In the day leading up to Christmas 2020 was a challenge for any Producer of a Pantomime but it didn't flaw Richard when he put together a one hour Show titled Pantomime in a pickle which combined many Panto stories within the one and it paid off.
Welcome to Eyes & teeth - the Water Rats - Dickie Gauntlett
Bernie Clifton is a much loved Variety Comedian who has spent his hard earned money and time investing in the best and biggest props in the business from working the Summer Seasons, the best variety Shows in Television history, Pantomimes and now Facebook sharing his stories. Bernie talks about his time on his latest TV exposure on 'The Voice' and 'Last Laugh in Vegas' where he was introduced to another generation of fans and in his 8th decade there are no signs of him stopping, slowing down maybe but not stopping.
Bernie is a complete pleasure to know and todays chat is a Box of Delights that had me laughing nearly all the way through. Until I edited it today, I actually forgot how much I laughed during the recording.
Now its your turn, welcome to Eyes & Teeth - the Water rats, Bernie Clifton

Glenn M Ford is known as the renowned Norman Wisdom tribute and his friendship with the man himself went beyond endorsement. Glenn has worked his way through the Clubs, Theatres, Summer Seasons and Charity Performances in hopes that one day a Royal Variety Show will come his way. He has never given up that dream, just like myself. We put ourselves out there and do what we do to make people smile, laugh and reminisce.
Once you have that bug it's hard to shake off. Sadly Sir Norman is no longer with us or thanks to Glenn, he still can be and if you see a Norman Wisdom on stage in a recent drama on Television then chances are it was Mr Ford that you saw.
Glenn has dressed as Norman and walked 100's of miles to raise over £20,000 for worthy causes and he never stops giving.
His childhood mirrors Wisdom's similarly but in true Norman Wisdom style he found his way to the Spotlight of Showbusiness..
Welcome to Eyes & teeth Glenn M Ford
Karen Dalton and I have a connection that makes todays Podcast edition quite emotional. I ended up adoring her and her mum and knowing her family through many events we have worked on over the years and to think we met on a showcase over 20 years ago.
I heard a whisper that her uncle was a famous Ventriloquist and once confirmed I realised that she was related to Dennis Spicer. Dennis is one of my favourite ventriloquists of all time. Way ahead of his time and so creative sadly we lost him in 1964 when he was only 29 years old and literally a fortnight after his Successful Television break on the Royal Variety Show.
Getting to know Karen and her mum Rose was special, and it wasn't long after that meeting that I had the idea of writing my own book on "vents" as I was collating so many stories, anecdotes, photos and I grew this passion in me to share their stories.
Todays Podcast though is about Dennis's very talented niece Karen Williams, known as Karen Dalton and her alter ego Elsie Crumpet which took Karen from Butlins to High End Corporate Events. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge about our business and she is always an asset to have on a show, especially if you need the "wow factor".
Here is Karen as Elsie Crumpet https://youtu.be/RR-j1KTna4A
Here is her uncle Dennis Spicer at the very Royal Show in 1964 https://youtu.be/VdGK6Q6wzcM
Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Karen Dalton...
Jim Grant and I crossed paths during his hosting of Comedy Club events when I moved from Hampshire to Sussex in the turn of the millennium. Jim then offered me some open mic spots where I tried out some new material and that was my first experience of working comedy club audiences. I loved it, it felt like a whole new world to me and since then I have enjoyed some great Comedy Club style crowds from Pubs to London's Southbank at the Udderbelly.
Jim knows his Comedy venues, audiences and which fellow comedians are right for that setting. In todays chat he talks in detail about why an audience may be difficult on certain nights. Jim has always fascinated me, his confidence comes from years of hosting these nights, he's well connected and well respected. I hope you enjoy Eyes & Teeth the 77th Episode with Jim Grant
Rikki Jay and I have crossed paths for many years at least 25 in Holiday Parks, Cruises, Television auditions and studios, social events and pantomime. Rikki writes comedy and has been a constant writing partner to Paul Zerdin (AGT) and many more
He has spent time in LA & Bromley and has a long list of Corporate clients who have him back time after time. Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Rikki Jay
