Isaiah 9:6 advises us “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder…” Just remember, Jesus’ shoulder bore the wound of the cross leading up to his crucifixion, and today, his shoulders bear the burden of the government over which He is the ‘Wonderful Counselor.’ He who has the government upon His shoulder rules in the midst of His enemies. While Mr. Donald Trump has committed treason, God commands us to still love and pray for him. In the wise words of Delaware Representative, Lisa Blunt Rochester, “Love is not easy; not just some Pollyanna notion, but if you believe like I believe, Love each other, Love this country and above all else, Love God.” There remains a whole lot to be said, and even more to be done, for the healing of our government, and repairing of our Nation. However, loving God represents the beginning and the conclusion of the whole matter. Stand back and pray. Stand by, and watch God!
