Episode 65: Our Part

.

.

“Let Your light so shine before men, that they see your good works and glorify your father which is in Heaven.” Of course, that is our part. It means that we should be so in tune with the word and ways of God that we represent Him in our walk, our talk, our actions, attitudes, and interactions with others. God expects our life living to represent Him so well, that others will see our good works, hear our positive words, feel our love, and honor God as a result; thereby, doing Our Part!

Episode 63: Absent, but Present

.

.

Loss is the unspoken equalizer. Of course, loss and grief are ushered in by the death of a Loved One. Today, I want you to take solace in knowing that what we survivors experience as death, according to God’s word, is the new birth of our beloved deceased into the presence of the Lord. As tough as it may be to face, our loss is Heaven’s gain. To be absent from this mortal body, is to be present immortally with the Lord !!

Episode 61: The Holy Ghost: Reassurance of Endurance

.

.

When you see the signs of the time, no day is better than today (an awesome day) to give God your whole heart! It is as simple as making the decision to ask God for His precious Holy Ghost; His spirit. It is the only entity that is given with promise, provision, and divine protection by He who was, He who is, and He who is yet to come. Our salvation is in the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of God. It is your reassurance of endurance.

Episode 60: Honoring Fathers

.

.

We celebrate Fathers’ Day on this single day of the year, but we must remain grateful for dad’s and honor them every day. God’s word has urged us to “Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord God has given you.”

“Whether the relationship worked out - between mom and dad, or not; he is the father God gave you, so cherish, honor and respect the only daddy you’ve got.” We are honoring all Fathers today!

Episode 59: Juneteenth: God’s Good Work

.

.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.” Such words simply confirm that God started the work of freedom, equality and inclusion, many, many, many years ago, and He is faithful to complete this work.  Juneteenth is celebrated annually on June 19th to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved Africans. As always, God remains our beginning and our end; He is the lifter of our heads. We are the embodiment of God’s promises; fearfully and wonderfully made works in progress. It is He who has brought us to this Freedom Day, and He will continue to lead, guide and carry us!! It is certain that God started this work with our ancestors, and “He who began a good work,” is faithful to complete it.

Episode 58: In All Things, Give Thanks

.

.

God’s word has admonished us to give thanks in ALL things, because ‘All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.’ We must understand that every issue, matter and problem we endure is necessary for our growth and development. The struggles we face were designed for the fulfillment of God’s purpose, and the realization of our progress. Over time the truth of every situation will be revealed, but in the midst of our trials and tribulations, always and forever “Give thanks: for this is the will of God concerning you.”

Episode 57: Black Lives Matter, So Unify

‘

Both ‘U’ and ‘I’ are in the word, Unified! God’s word has reminded us, “ That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.  And when one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it; so it is with the African American race. We are connected and our destiny seamlessly intertwined, so what affects one of us, affects us all. If ‘Black Lives Really Matter, we must become unified within our race, first and foremost.

Episode 56: The Truth of Our Critical Condition

.

.

‘We live in a stolen country that was built on the backs of a stolen people.’ Today, the African American race (in this country) is in critical condition; yet too many leaders refuse to acknowledge the truth of the Critical Race Theory. As a result, we must arm our young people with honest, relevant information; that is, making certain that they know the truth. The truth of who we are, as a race, the truth of how we became a part of these United States, and the truth that God can dismantle the hate and racism that has been born from a country that devalues, disregards and disrespects its African American citizens. According to God’s word, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”
