Yesterday, the children of Israel sought to settle in the Promised Land, which God had prepared for and promised to them. Today, we seek to gain the spirit of the Lord and have the same settle within us, yet we seem to be behaving just as the children of Israel did. It appears that we are the modern-day Israelites; disobedient, disrespectful, ungrateful, unfaithful, having other Gods before the true and living God, seeking and accepting inordinate affections, calling on the Lord whenever and wherever we get into trouble.  We must learn from the Israelite’s history, live faithfully for God in the present, and garner faith and strength from the past. Certainly, God is, was, and is yet to come; He is the same yesterday, today and forevermore.

Make the decision to lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily get us off course, and wholeheartedly become an ambassador for Christ. We are the light of the world, God’s representatives on the earth; His living, breathing examples of what Godly living should look like. Commit yourself to represent Him well, as you vow to ‘Let go’ of any and all that weigh you down. Either serve the Lord with excellence, as a Christ representative or stop mis-representing Our Lord. Anything and everyone who does not align with God, His word, His will and His way, ‘Let go!’

What Are You Building?

As God commanded, we must build upon that which He created; the solid rock that is Jesus Christ. We are most efficacious as we build up each other, thereby building upon God’s kingdom. He has given us everything that we need to be successful, as God is not a taker, but a giver; the giver of life, love, provisions, favor, community, family and relationships. When you accept your responsibility to build God’s kingdom, God’s house, and God’s people, God will certainly build yours. We builders must build and create, so that God continues to build and create in us clean hearts, renewed minds, and with each morning, He provides brand new mercies. Be intentional. What are you building?

We are grateful to God for June 19th, 1865, and appreciate the fact that our ancestors were emancipated from the bondage of slavery. However, your freedom and my freedom can only be fully realized, by the power of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17 explains “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” God’s freeing power is inexplicable and inescapable. Forge a relationship to ensure the presence of the Lord, so that you cannot be denied freedom; God-given freedom that no man, no government, no political party, laws, rules or regulations can take away. Connect to the Lord, in order to stay free!

Honoring Fathers

 

A real father teaches his son by his example, who he is and how he should conduct himself, and then gives his daughter the confidence to be the innocent little girl, the blooming adolescent and the beautiful young woman God has called her to be. God ordained Fathers to plant the seed, while Mothers incubate and nurture. Mothers are the fragrance and keeper of the house but Fathers build, protect and provide for the home. She sustains, while he supplies, but both provide love. Today we thank and extend respect and great honor to every Father. Happy Father’s Day!!

Hebrews 12:14 expresses that ‘Peace and holiness ought to be our spiritual condition as well as our ethical position.’ As His children we are already at peace with God because He forgave us, but we must live Holy lives, pursuing nothing less than peace with everyone; it is the only way that others will be able to identify us as ambassadors for Christ and even children of God. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

When you let go, you stop worrying, stop wondering and stop whining, then let God be God. Letting go and letting God allows our faith to grow exponentially; it is when you finally understand the true value of not leaning to your own understanding, but in all your ways, acknowledging Him, His will and His way.  When we let go of our prideful, misinformed human understandings, we grow our Faith, our trust and our dependence upon God. We let go of the false sense of control that so many still (so foolishly) embrace and let God direct our paths, and every other area of our lives.

‘Praise Is Our Passport’

As we offer up praises, our praise opens up a clear and unhindered passage, to the presence of the Lord. We are ushered, by the stirring of God’s spirit, into His presence, and when true worship takes place, there is nothing that can impede such divine connection. According to Psalm 22:3, “God inhabits the praises of His people.” Praise is just where He lives. The more intense the praise, the more efficacious God’s glory, grace, mercy and favor. According to Psalm 17:5-6, “The Earth yields its produce in the presence of praise;” so praise is pervasively productive, yielding positive results, wherever it exists. Praise is our passport.

Episode 105 No More Excuses

.

When Christ was ascending to the Father, He announced that He left us a Comforter that would lead, guide, protect and hide us, in His absence. The same spirit that was in Him, He has made available to all who would receive of Him by simply confessing with your mouth and truly believing in your heart, then following directions from God’s living word, to enjoy full, productive, God-ordained lives. In death, Christ paid the ultimate price for all of our sins, and even after the resurrection and His ascension, He is an advocate for us today, as He dwells with the Father making intercessions for those of us who are His. We are constantly extended much grace, mercy and unmerited favor, even when we fail to make good decisions. Forgiveness is all ours, just for the asking.  God’s word has said He will never leave nor forsake us, so we have no more excuses. I repeat, we have, “No More Excuses.”
