It's f*cking happening... chemo. I tell you about debuting my fake boobs this weekend on a fancy downtown date (to a drag queen show!!!), my experience bursting into tears while glasses shopping, and I have a favor to ask....
If you have any FIGHT or F*CK CANCER MERCH, please wear it on Thursday, February 17. That's my first chemo appointment and I would love nothing more than to see my wonderful community on social media sporting their merch while I am chained to the damn chemo chair for 5 hours. Please tag me if you do, @facingfearwithsara.com.

I received the ultimate God Wink of all God Wink's when a pastor at my church reached out to me asking if he could share some of my story as a part of his sermon about encouragement. You lovely listeners are ALL encouragers to me, so I was able to share the audio from the sermon on this episode to conclude the show.
I provide an update on what's coming next for my cancer journey (hint, hint, it's far from over). And finally, I share our EPIC cancer moon getaway from escaping the Indiana blizzard to watching dolphins jump in the ocean to why vacation is so important.

MY FIRST GUEST IN SO LONG! I met Amber thanks to a Facebook friend when I announced my own diagnosis. We quickly connected and I learned her story is UN-BE-LEIVE-ABLE... She learned at 24-years-old (just last year) she had Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
In part 1, Amber and I dive into how cancer turned her life upside-down from moving her wedding up by two months to leaving her job and so much more. After 16 rounds of chemo, 4 fertility shots, a double mastectomy surgery, 25 treatments of radiation, a reconstruction surgery, and officially being she is cancer free, Amber shows us how to face fear from the inside out.

Before they go, I wanted to give one last goodbye to my boobs and reflect on the 15 years I got to have them. It's been quite the journey and it's ending FAR too soon. But I'm ok. I will be ok. And best of all, I'll be survivor. I reflect on the story of my tits, and what I remember from first having them, to coming into my own sexuality to realizing I'm really, really, actually, for real, going to lose them.

This is a big step in my cancer journey... on January 12, 2022 I will sacrifice my natural boobs for an (almost) guarantee to be cancer free. I'm having a bilateral mastectomy which will remove both of my boobs, rid me of cancer and they'll be replaced with implants. I am scared and sad and anxious... for the pain, for my nipples (will I get to keep them!?) and what the future holds. On today's episode, I tell you about how my cancer journey led me to this surgery after many tests and results.
