his question about podcasting profit cropped up a few times on Facebook over the weekend. But really, it's one of those questions that gets asked with alarming regularity. The answer truly is: Probably never.  

What you don’t hear from the top performing podcasts is the editing. But they are edited. And you can’t tell be that’s how editing works. Think of all the rough drafts you’ve never seen from your favorite blog or TV how. Podcasting shouldn’t be different. Except for you don’t need a huge budget to produce one.

Always capture the best quality recording you can for your podcast. But when it comes to interviewing guests, it can be extremely difficult to get them to plug-in a dynamic USB microphone or use a USB headset. So often times the easiest thing is for them to use their laptop’s but in mic.

Actually, the easiest thing for a podcast guest to do is use their phone to call in to an app like zoom or Skype.The best part about this is our ears are used to recognizing phone calls and we don’t complain about the audio quality.
