Our time zone hopscotch playing woodland bard returns with the incredibly satisfying sequel to his original story Three Little Witches with the story of One Arm, Two Wings. After, Kelsey tells a tale simply named Baba Yaga - and all three hosts work together to come up with the ultimate fix for it: a way better name.

Hear how they fix the Eswatini legend of Nya-Nya Bulembu and the Portuguese tale of The Ugly Princess in this episode, and remember: your looks are the least interesting thing about you.

Before the folktale readings even begin, Kelsey and Abbie share stories from their misbegotten youths that are the opposite of fairy tale perfection. After the drama, Kelsey follows up with the classic Brothers Grimm tale of Snow White……..and Rose Red! Gotcha. Abbie finishes us off with a story (also from the BG’s) that reads like two pages accidentally got stuck together: The Turnip.

This week on Fairy Tale Fix: Abbie reads the monstrous tale of The Man Whale, a story that tells us who exactly are the most terrifying and treacherous of sea creatures (spoiler: it’s dead beat dads). Kelsey tells the Siberian tale of The Maiden Suvarna from the now-available Ruth Manning-Sanders A Book of Ghosts and Goblins, where things aren't quite what they seem.

ROSES HAVE THORNS! Kelsey reads The Rose Elf from our favorite bisexual disaster, Hans Christian Andersen, which starts off like a true fairy tale and then takes a sharp turn toward horror story. Abbie gets argumentative and reads African folk tale The Contest of Riddles, giving listeners the opportunity to argue amongst themselves whether or not Kelsey got any points or not for her predictions.

In this special Patreon preview, Abbie recites for Kelsey the 1680’s satirical poem The Dragon of Wantley, also known as A Farting Dragon Burlesque. Kelsey then regales her co-host with the tale of The Boy Who Wanted More Cheese. Both of these stories are exactly what they say on the tin, and it’s glorious.

In this special Patreon preview, Abbie & Kelsey pick a couple of random fairy tales to read, and boy do these stories deliver! Kelsey discovers an incredible tale about an unreasonably confident man who has ALL the audacity in The Brave Little Tailor. Abbie brings the mood way down with Children of Famine, then way, WAY back up again when she reads The Ungrateful Son.

It's the end of MerMay, and wow, do we have one helluva story to end it with! Abbie cold reads a Cornish folk tale, The Mermaid's Vengeance, and it's a slow burn – you'll just have to trust the process.
