We continue in 2 Timothy with part two of "Sheep Don't Hand with Goats, focusing on the character of those who are phony. Paul warns us to avoid this type of church attender like the plague. Paul gives guidelines, the Spirit calls for repentance, and Christ displays His love by helping you know the distinction between the real and the fake.

Chapter three begins with a challenge about tough times, which are ahead for believers. Surrounding us in the Church will be others who claim to be saved, but are actually make-believers--not saved. Paul exposes their character in verses 1 to 5 and commands his son, Timothy, to avoid such men as these.

This week Phil Johnson will be discussing the looming controversies in the evangelical movement and describe how all of them stem from the same epistemological shift that gave us postmodernism. He will explain how people in our generation use different logic and a different notion of truth and certainty than any prior generation in western history and how it has affected the church.

Paul tells Timothy, a useful tool in God’s service has a heart for reaching unbelievers with the Gospel--not only the receptive ones, but the ones who are fighting you. Paul encourages Timothy and us with a reminder that His most sought after tools are those who long to share the good news.

We will look at the gospels and the wisdom of Jesus on money. As Christians, we must live wisely with whatever the Lord gives us, and be careful not to allow the things we own to own us.

Repent and return to real repentance! We will look at this essential doctrine of repentance. What does it mean? Is it really necessary? What does it look like? I’ve already repented, so do I need to keep doing it? How do I know if my repentance is real? This is a challenging message, but the result if applied, is so sweet in the life of a Christ follower.

What do people believe about the future? What do other religions teach about the end? What makes the Bible any different, and why should we trust it over all the other religious views on the end times? Gain massive confidence in why you can trust the Bible’s teaching on how things end for the human race on Earth.

This Sunday we go on a momentous journey through John 21, showing that even broken people (like Peter and like us) can be restored to serve God.

Why should we believe what the Bible says about the future? Tonight we look at past prophecies and how accurate/inaccurate they have been.
