In Episode 7 of the Faith for Work podcast, Greg Atchison shares that being a Christian is not something we are, while work is something we do. Being Christian is something that we can do and that we show by our actions. Greg also discusses legacy and how it spreads well beyond the business leaders he serves through C12. When we empower others to live out God-given skills and values, there is a ripple of legacy affecting families, coworkers, direct reports, and supervisors. A small group of people can influence a workplace, homes, and even communities.

In this episode, we learn from Stephanie Wagner, an engineer at Boeing, how BBT bible study groups have impacted her work ethic and helped embolden her faith, starting with a simple pizza party. When you know there are fellow Christians in your workplace praying for you and checking in with you, it can be a huge encouragement. Often we're trying to just be part of the team and the gossip, when really we're not meant to fit in. We're meant to stand out - to live biblically at work and make choices that honor God.

By dreaming of the impossible-made-possible with an emphasis on mentorship, Anthony Meyer's innovative approach to leaving a legacy enhances his Kingdom Work. Anthony's unconventional path to ministry and peacemaking allows him to understand peoples' needs and struggles while he's pouring into them. He sees the future of the Church in corporate spaces, not necessarily in churches on the weekend, because people live most of their lives outside church walls. He challenges himself and others to activate our communities through listening, thinking, and asking differently while bringing Biblical principles into the workplace. We learn about honor, respect, and integrity on Sunday, but are we applying and bringing these principles to the workplace on Monday?

When so much of our time is dominated by work, we can either be a superwoman and try to do it all on our own or trust God to empower us, guide us, and work through us. Her faith and courage continue to be a gift as she leans in to God's path.
Priscilla Hill-Ardoin is the President & CEO of PH-Agency along with a motivational speaker, businesswoman, and philanthropist. She is retired as the Chief Privacy Officer of AT&T (formerly Southwestern Bell) and pioneered a telecommunications career for 32 years.
