You got saved. Now what?
In this Bible study we tackle the next step after salvation: Faithfulness. Because the road to heaven is narrow and straight, Matt 24:13, and staying on it takes more than a moment—it takes a life.

We’re in Acts 9:1-9, watching Saul meet Jesus on the road to Damascus. If anyone knew about a radical turn from sin to God, it was him. But the story doesn’t end at conversion. Faithfulness is what follows.

Here’s the breakdown:

1. Born Again Is Step One — Salvation is the start, not the finish. Christian living is where growth begins. Just like God set laws to keep the universe running, He’s set rhythms to keep us growing. “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow,” 1 Pet 2:2.
2. Growth Is a Process — It doesn’t happen by accident. It takes:
3. Where Faithfulness Shows Up — Worship, giving, attendance, ministry, and holiness. Faithfulness isn’t just Sunday—it’s in the daily, unseen places.
4. Faithfulness When It’s Hard — Look at Paul after Acts 9. He spent 3 years in Arabia studying with God, Gal 1:13-18. Then 15 days with Peter in Jerusalem. No shortcuts, no platform. Just preparation. “Neither death, nor life... shall be able to separate us from the love of God,” Rom 8:38-39.
5. The Call — “Fight the good fight of faith,” 1 Tim 6:12. Saul went from persecutor to preacher because he stayed faithful to the vision, Acts 26:13-19.

If you want to stay saved, you have to stay faithful. Not perfect, but persistent.

Jesus isn’t looking for admirers. He’s looking for people who act on what they believe.

In this episode we unpack “Love in Action” from Matthew 23:37-39 and John 14:21. It starts with Jesus’ heartbreaking lament over Jerusalem: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem... how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chicks under her wings, and ye would not!”

Here’s what we walk through:

1. The Tender Heart of God — Jesus weeps over those who reject Him. His judgment is wrapped in sorrow because He longs to protect, provide, and gather His people like a hen with her chicks.
2. Love Isn’t Just a Feeling — “If you love Me, keep My commandments,” John 14:21. The problem was never understanding. It was doing. James 1:23-24 reminds us: don’t just look in the mirror and walk away. As Scott Peck put it, love is “an act of will—both an intention and an action.”
3. Faith Becomes Visible — Acts 8:5-8, 14-17 shows the early church preaching, healing, and laying hands so others received the Spirit. Faith takes shape in action, and that’s where God gets made known.
4. Evangelism = Getting Connected — Using the 4 I’s:
5. The Urgency — Jesus showed compassion and died for lost souls. One day He returns as Judge, 2 Thess 1:7-10. “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter,” Matt 7:21-23.

Bottom line: Love in action doesn’t wait, doesn’t stay distant, and doesn’t stop at good intentions. Do you have a burden for the lost like Jesus did?

In every generation, one question haunts the human heart: “What must I do to be saved?” Acts 16:30; Acts 2:37. With over 1,700 denominations out there, which way is right? How do we find God? “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart,” Jer 29:13.

In this Bible study episode we cut through the noise and get back to The Essentials of salvation.

We cover:

1. Saved Defined — From Greek SOZO: to save, deliver, protect, heal, preserve. More than a ticket to heaven.
2. How Can I Be Saved? — Not by works, but by mercy, Titus 3:5. “For God so loved the world...” John 3:16.
3. The Price of Salvation — Receive the engrafted word, James 1:21. Baptism now saves us, 1 Peter 3:21. “Save yourselves from this untoward generation,” Acts 2:40.
4. FAITH — The foundation stone. “Without faith it is impossible to please him,” Heb 11:6. Faith comes by hearing, Rom 10:17. The gospel of your salvation, Eph 1:13.
5. REPENTANCE — Job abhorred himself, Job 42:6. “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish,” Luke 13:3. God is “not willing that any should perish,” 2 Pet 3:9.
6. BAPTISM — “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,” John 3:5. “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ,” Acts 2:38. Remission of sins preached, Luke 24:47.
7. HOLY GHOST BAPTISM — “If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his,” Rom 8:9. Jesus will baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire, Matt 3:11. They were all filled, Acts 2:4.
8. THE BIBLE — The only source of God’s Word. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God,” 2 Tim 3:16. “Search the scriptures,” John 5:39. Holy men spake as moved by the Holy Ghost, 2 Pet 1:21.

If you were the richest person on earth for 24 hours, what would you buy? Mansions, jets, islands? You’d spend fast, because time’s running out. Jesus cuts through the hype with one question: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36

In this episode we unpack “What Shall It Profit A King?” and see that no amount of power, wealth, or luxury answers the soul’s deficit.

We talk about:

1. The 40-Day Temptation — Even Jesus, after fasting, was offered all the kingdoms of the world. Billionaires today chase profit, stocks, and influence. Many live like “kings without crowns” — bodyguards, private chefs, endless feasts. Meanwhile most of us are just dodging bills in the mailbox. But Luke 6:24 warns: “Woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.”
2. The OT Reality Check — Israel and Judah had 42 kings + 1 queen. Royal robes, scepters, attendants, all-you-can-eat feasts daily. Think Donald Trump and Elon Musk combined. Yet Jesus’ question still stands.
3. Solomon: Wisdom Isn’t Enough — Son of David and Bathsheba, anointed twice by Zadok, blessed in a dream, 1 Kings 3:11-13. God gave him wisdom, riches, fame — no king like him. Called Jedidiah, “Beloved of the Lord,” 2 Sam 12:24-25. Promised mercy even if he sinned, 2 Sam 7:13-15.
   He built the Temple, wrote Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, judged the true mother without a DNA test, 1 Kings 3:16-28. Married 1,000 women — 700 wives, 300 concubines. Could he remember all their anniversaries? Still, a king can have wisdom and still lose his heart.

Big takeaway: Ecclesiastes 12:13 — “Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Titles, treasure, and talent don’t profit if the soul is bankrupt.

Are you investing in the world, or in eternity? Don’t gain the world and lose what matters most.

What do you do when you’re outnumbered, outgunned, and out of options? King Jehoshaphat faced a “great multitude” from Moab, Ammon, and Mount Seir, 2 Chron 20:1-2. His response? He feared... and set himself to seek the Lord, v3.

In this episode we walk through 2 Chronicles 20 and discover the battle plan of heaven:

1. The Dilemma — Enemy at the gates, Hazazon-tamar, v2.
2. The Response — Fasting, prayer, and corporate seeking, v3-4. “We have no might... neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee,” v12.
3. The Promise — “The battle is not yours, but God’s... Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord,” v15, 17.
4. The Weapon — Worship. Jehoshaphat appointed singers to go before the army, praising “the beauty of holiness,” v21. Kohathites and Korahites led the charge — Levites called to carry God’s presence and guard His house.
5. The Victory — As they sang “Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever,” God set ambushes. The enemy turned on each other, v22-24.

From Jehoshaphat to the Six Day War, we see Israel’s story is our story — physical and spiritual inspiration through God’s wisdom and divine intervention. And it doesn’t stop there: Paul and Silas praised at midnight in chains, Acts 16:24-26, and the prison shook.

Key truth: Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper, 2 Chron 20:20.

You are a royal priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9, called to be frontline warriors with worship as your weapon. Chains break when praise goes up.

Don’t lose your praise — the victory is at hand. 🙌
