Scripture: Revelation 2:18-29, Pastor Rhode takes us through our Lord's admonition to the church at Thyatira. The people are commended for their patience, love, and service; however, they are tolerating a Jezebel among their midst. Jezebel is committing sexual immorality and eating food sacrificed to pagan idols. God gave her time to repent, but she has not. Today, Jezebel might be metaphorically those who say they are Christian, but embrace and tolerate that which is false.

Scripture: Hebrews 1:1-4 Psalm 19:1-5 Psalm 111:2 John 1:8 Ephesians 5:8, Jesus is the begotten, not made, Son of God. He is one substance with the Father, yet Father and Son are two kinds when it comes to person. Jesus' unique relationship with the Father and his inheritance are shared with all believers. Why deny Jesus (go back to Judaism) when He is offering you forgiveness of sins to enter God's rest?

To the Smyrna church, Jesus warns Jews who reject the Messiah a "synagogue of Satan." Further he says to them that the Devil will test you, but if they are faithful unto death, he will give them the crown of life. To the church of Pergamum the warning comes against sexual immorality. "To him who has an ear let him hear."

Scripture: Revelation 1:1 - 2:7, John witnesses the voice and beholds the Son of Man standing among seven lampstands, which are the seven churches. In His hand are seven stars which are the angels of the seven churches. The Church at Ephesus is warned to repent and turn back from evil, or the Lord will remove the lampstand. We are to hate evil and any false teaching which goes against the teaching of the Apostles.
