When you read through the Psalms, one of the first things you’ll notice is the amount of passion and emotion David had while he was writing. David was falsely accused, hated, and hunted down by those who should have been his friends, and instead of sitting in defeat, he cried out to God continuously, in faith. 

King David was a great warrior who helped Israel defeat all their enemies, but he didn’t always start off that way. David was first a shepherd that fought off wild animals to protect his sheep before he started slaying giants. Today, Pastor Jimmy will be reminding you that everyone has to start somewhere and that it’s about you remaining faithful even with the smaller things. Throughout your walk with the Lord, you’ll be faced with giants, but always remember, the Lord is the One going before you. 

Sin feels so good at the moment. You feel like you can get away with it and live the rest of your life. But it will catch up to you. You try to run and hide but you end up fighting with your own mind. Today, Pastor Jimmy will use the story of David and Bathsheba to remind you that restoration is possible in any circumstance. There will be consequences to your sin, but there can still be restoration to your soul. You don’t have to live life feeling stained, God will remove the stains from your past and give you hope.

Are you hiding in a guilty conscience? Maybe you did something years ago that you’ve been hiding because you’re afraid of what your friends will think, your spouse, or your family. Or maybe you just committed a sin and are trying to figure out a way to cover it up. God already knows. He already knows what you’ve done and there isn’t a need to hide it. He can restore you from anything you’ve done. Today, Pastor Jimmy will remind you that Jesus died so that you can have freedom from your past mistakes. 

Pain is a part of life – sadly. This life would be much easier without suffering – much faster to move through hard times if we didn’t have to grieve. That’s just not how God designed us though. Pastor Jimmy reminds you today that people DO need to grieve. They need to mourn losses and process the hurt. But Pastor Jimmy will also remind you today that you have someone you can turn to in those heartaches – God is here, waiting for you with open arms! His love for you is the comfort you’re longing for!

God raised Jesus from the dead, and He can raise you out of depression. Think about that for a second. If God raised Jesus from the grave, He has the power to restore your contentment. Today, Pastor Jimmy is going to encourage your soul. He is going to remind you that depression doesn’t have to take over your life. You can overcome it by pressing into Jesus. He will restore your soul. It won’t be easy. There will be days when you still feel like laying in bed all day, but Jesus can push you through it!

Depression isn’t something to be taken lightly. It’s not a myth and it’s more than just being sad. If you’ve ever been depressed you know how difficult it can be to break that spell. It drains you. You feel no will to do anything and wonder if God is even there. Well, there is hope for you! There is hope to be found in Jesus. Today, Pastor Jimmy will remind you that depression is a real issue, and isn’t something to be ashamed about. Jesus knows what it’s like to feel alone, and He wants to help you. 

The past can be enticing – especially when the memories bring a happy feeling and peace to your mind. But Pastor Jimmy wants to remind you that you can’t live this life in the past. You can’t stop moving forward. So today, think about what you’ve been procrastinating about. Maybe it’s a new job. Maybe it’s committing to a relationship you know is right. Maybe it’s a calling you have from God that you haven’t stepped forward in. Whatever it is, ask the Lord for courage – and GET MOVING!
