Pastor Jimmy’s point there is that you can have new life. It doesn’t matter today how bad you’ve messed up or if you feel like you’re not worthy. Jesus still came to save you, to give you a second chance! And if you’ve been doing pretty well through your life, you're nice enough to people, you do good deeds now and then – guess what – you STILL need Jesus. Because everyone has sinned – it might be small, it might be big – but every single person needs a Savior. And that Savior is Jesus! 

Today’s passage of Scripture is not easy to read or study – but it’s essential. It’s an honest account of people actively refusing to follow God, and that’s not easy to watch. They’re going to have to endure the consequences of their actions too – and that is not fun to experience. But – all of this is true. It’s reality – even now, we sin, and we must endure the consequences. But as Pastor Jimmy will remind you, God is STILL faithful. He is in control, and His promises can be trusted!

God has provided for you. If you take the time to think back on your life, you’ll likely be able to see times when God provided in surprising ways, and you can bet that there are times you were completely unaware of how He met needs and protected you from hardship. In today’s message, as Pastor Jimmy kicks off his series, Blessed By God, he'll encourage us to remember that we have no reason to fear because of God’s faithfulness. We can trust that it will continue.
