Like opinions, disagreements are something seemingly every relationship has as well. Should a serious disagreement define your relationship? That is the question posed in this episode. Relationships aren’t easy they take time, intention, and love to name a few things. Join us in this episode as we discuss a real life experience that came from a disagreement between Jeanne and I, things got heated and I found myself in a declining mindset. It is times like these that taking a step back and giving yourself a chance to swim out of the emotions and take a deep breath.
Disagreements come in all shapes and sizes they also burn at different temperatures, some disagreements we are more heavily invested in emotionally so we can find ourselves fighting to win the argument even though our position may be wrong. Jeanne and I work extremely hard at not fighting to be right but fighting for what is right for our relationship.
It is part of my code to admit when I’ve gotten something wrong and it doesn’t stop at the microphone. Listen in and learn all you can from my experiences. Live studly my men!

Our listenership is growing! And with that growth it brings new relationships and new experiences.
Everyone is going through their own trials and successes. WE appreciate hearing them all as our listeners take from our experiences and apply some of the things we do to their own lives helping them to become the men they want to be. In this episode we discuss some feedback from our listeners BUT the real kicker is when we realize Jeanne needs some feedback of her own live during the episode.
This episode was not preplanned or discussed prior to recording but rather an open mic conversation that leads to Jeanne getting a little feedback about how she approaches things and how structure is something she avoids when it doesn’t fit the moment.
We all have our routines, habits, lifestyles, whatever you want to call it. It’s our own way of doing things. WE took something as simple as a “coffee talk” which originally was a great thing for us, and discovered Jeanne’s aversion to it came from her inability to stop and readjust according to the changes taking place in our lives. She decided “it just doesn’t fit and I’m done with it” instead of taking a step back and realizing, it could simply be adjusted. It’s a great tool. Very useful in finding out where your spouse is mentally and emotionally. What changed for us was the family logistics. There are none at the moment as there aren’t any sports or activities with school at the moment. However, checking in with each other is still a vitally important part in our communication and in the success of our marriage as a whole.
Instead of making a weekly appointment to have a coffee talk, I chose to adjust and use the tool another way. I check in with my wife on a regular basis to find out how she’s doing. How she is both emotionally and mentally. Not the kids, not the chores, not the household daily things, but HER. That’s the “ah-ha” moment in this episode. Just because a tool doesn’t fit the situation, doesn’t mean it’s not a great tool. Take a step back and see if the tool can still be useful by simply making an adjustment according to your situation and what you or your wife needs.

Who doesn’t love a free upgrade!? Hotel, rental car, but what about your marriage? I know Jeanne and I go on our getaways looking forward to a surprised upgrade, every time it happens it feels so good! As a matter of fact it becomes a memory and a topic of conversation for the trip.
Alright dude, here we go: As one of our core values in the Man vs Marriage Nation we Live on purpose for a purpose. This is a key factor in upgrading your Marriage experience. You know another key for me is asking Jeanne to “Just give me the Playbook”. These very practices along with this episode guide you in the process of getting to know yourself and your wife in a deeper way.
Follow our journey and capitalize on our experiences as we give you our real life examples of how and why we love one another on purpose. The foundation of this particular aspect is called “Intentionality” but in order to be intentional you have to have a successful process for gaining intel in other words discovering what it is that makes your wife tick. What makes her feel loved and adored?
I am telling you man to man this brings a level of excitement into your approach to loving our wife, a byproduct of that is a happy and fulfilled wife who feels loved and eventually adored. This means very good things for you my man.
A tool or two for this episode:

If you just said, “Oh I’ve seen that before” “CUT THAT CRAP OUT”! Look at this with fresh eyes and go all in.
I can’t give you the title of the book Jeanne she threw it away! Haha! But not before she got a really cool idea out of it.

Jack and Jill showed us where we all make simple, unintentional mistakes. Ones that can keep us trapped in our heads and out of touch, both emotional and physical with our spouses. In this episode hear how they recognized their problem, and how getting naked was the best solution.

In this episode we discuss what we believe many couples and families are probably going through, adversity. We are bringing you inside the Moran home for a listen on what been happening and the maneuvers we are making to find a light at the end of this tunnel. I have adopted the mentality that Ed Mylett brings every day to his audience “life isn’t happening to you it’s happening for you”.
In this episode we discuss raising teenagers, autism and home life, the pandemic, medical issues, depression and disappointment, work life, communication and family drama just to name a few. Not surprisingly there are some lights within this tunnel that catch me by surprise. Join us in this episode

Frustration is a dirty drip and if left unattended can contaminate your gas tank.
In this solocast episode I talk about frustration and what I have been working through. It became obvious to me that I have allowed frustrations to build over the past month or two, truly I have allowed these to go unchecked and that is not me. Life is what you make of it, one of my core philosophies is not allowing the circumstances of life to dictate my attitude. I live it and I believe it. While I work diligently at living this as a lifestyle sometimes the perfect storm comes and I take my eye off the ball.
But I am back! I have made the mission clear to re-calibrate and deal with these frustrations more effectively than ever. One thing I point to in this episode is mindset. This video from Jocko spells it out in such an awesome way it mirrors how I live my life and have for more than half a decade. Get some!

Why do I care more about you than you do?
She’s complaining and frustrated, and all I want to do is make things better for her, but she’s not taking the suggestions. WTF? When I hear frustrations and complaining, I automatically see an opportunity to grow. I adapt. I make changes so I am better equipped to deal with these things, and they won’t frustrate me any longer. NEWSFLASH! Not everybody thinks like me, including my wife.
