This episode of Fanachu! featured Master of Chamoru Performance Vince Reyes along with his students in his University of Guam course "Expressions of Chamoru Music and Dance." Students who participated included: Fu'una Sanz, Fafana'gue Ray Lujan, Chauntae Quichocho, Vicky Mesa and Vicente Santiago.

This episode of Fanachu! was a special interview with Jon Mitchell the author of the book "Poisoning the Pacific: The US Military's Secret Dumping of Plutonium, Chemical Weapons, and Agent Orange" published in 2020.

In his book Mitchell discusses the history of nuclear power in Japan, Agent Orange contamination and the nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands, as some of the sites where the US military and government have engaged in coverups to hide the true impacts on peoples across the Asia Pacific region, Chamorus included.

In response to criticism that certain styles of contemporary Chamoru dance are stolen or appropriated from Polynesian dances, a group of cultural practitioners gathered for this episode of Fanachu! to discuss some of the politics of cultural dance in the context of Chamoru history. 

Panelists for this episode included: Master of Chamoru Dance Vince Reyes (Inetnon Gefpago), Fafana'gue Ray Lujan (Guma Nina'en Åcho' Latte), Ulukoa (Kīawekūpono O Ka Ua and who also studied under Master of Chamoru Dance Frank Rabon), Rich Duenas (co-director Irensia Dance Troupe) and Pim Limtiaco (Inetnon Gefpago)

The Chamoru renaissance is a broad movement for cultural, linguistic and political empowerment for the Chamoru people in the Marianas, whose origins can be found in the 1970s. What we’ve seen in more recent decades are the seeds planted in the 1970s bloom into movements to promote the Chamoru language, protect the environment, rediscovered traditional jewelry and develop new styles of Chamoru dance.

This episode of Fanachu featured attorney Kevin Camacho who refers to himself as a child of the Chamoru renaissance, because of his participation with Chamoru cultural groups such as Ginen i Hila' I Maga'taotao Siha and events such as attending FESTPAC.
