On this episode of Fanachu! former Guam delegate and President of the University of Guam, Robert Underwood discusses Guam and Chamoru History and telling our elders stories in the context of the 1947 protest of US Navy Radioman George Tweed. Tweed was the sole holdout and survivor of the 32 month Japanese occupation of Guam in World War II. He left Guam in 1944 a hero, but was protested when he later returned in 1947. This episode discusses some of the reasons why.
