This episode of Fanachu!  focused on the movement for compassionate cannabis on Guam. In 2013, Chamoru singer Savage K passed way after having moved to the states in order to seek medical marijuana treatment for his cancer. His family led a campaign to legalize medical marijuana, which was passed via referendum the following year. The guest for this episode is Joaquin "JC" Concepcion, the father of Savage K.

A panel of Chamorus share their perspectives on the 500th anniversary of Magellan's circumnavigation of the world and the recent visit of the Juan Sebastion Elcano to Guam, which was retracing the path of Magellan. 

Panel included Manny Cruz, Jesse Chargualaf, Annie Fay Camacho and Artemia Perez.

There has been much discussion recently on island about the possibility of Guam holding a constitutional convention by current Guam delegate Michael San Nicolas. 

The last constitutional convention was held in Guam in 1977 and it resulted in a draft constitution which was overwhelmingly rejected by voters. The defeat of the constitution was due in part to a desire to decide a political status first and second because of the limitations of trying to draft a constitution as a territory. It is important that this history enter into the conversation about trying to hold another constitutional convention. 

For this episode of Fanachu!, former Senator Hope Cristobal and Siñora Rosa Palomo who was part of the movement that mobilized against the draft constitution, share their reflections.

In February 2021, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene made the following comment about Guam. "I'm a regular, normal person. And I wanted to take my regular – normal person, normal, everyday American values, which is: We love our country. We believe our hard-earned tax dollars should just go for America – not for what, China, Russia, the Middle East, Guam – whatever, wherever." 

This Fanachu episode featured a veteran (Peter Santos), an educator (Enrique Baza) and a student (Cailey Cabiles) all sharing their thoughts on her comments and how this ignorance is  a symptom of Guam's colonial relationship to the US.

This episode of Fanachu! features members of Prutehi Litekyan and Earthjustice who recently filed a lawsuit against the US Air Force over potential environmental damage. The groups contend that the Air Force violated federal law by failing to evaluate the cultural and environmental impacts from open burning and open detonation of hazardous waste munitions on Tarague Beach or consider alternative, environmentally preferred technologies for weapons disposal. 

Maria Hernandez-May and Monaeka Flores are joining from Prutehi Litekyan and David Henkin and Thien Chau are attorneys from Earthjustice. Senator Sabina Perez who helped bring attention to this issue last year, also joins the episode.
