Famalao’an Rights is Guam’s only reproductive justice initiative focused on addressing the lack of reproductive healthcare within the island community; de-stigmatizing discussions surrounding abortion, contraception, and sexual education, and; ensuring accurate, fact-based, and data-driven information is being shared regarding social, economic, and other implications on the lack of accessible abortion services within the island community.

This very special episode of Fanachu! featured a roundtable focusing on a possible Micronesian Canoe Summit in 2022, and discussions on how to support traditional navigators in Micronesia in their efforts to perpetuate the knowledge and skill of seafaring.

Participating in this roundtable were esteemed master navigators/carvers Sesario Sewralur, Mario Benito and Larry Raigetal, as well as Mario Borja (Sakman Chamorro), Pedru and Emma Perez, Gordon Marciano (500 Sails) and Dr. Vince Diaz from University of Minnesota.

Rafael Carrasquillo is a 20 year old activist, Graphic designer, and member of the of the Puerto Rican Independence Party or PIP. He is a Business administration student and a freelance artist.

Maraliz Rivera/Robin Lee is a 22 year old Activist/Influencer on Political Education, and Historian. She is a Business Communications Student and Freelance Photojournalist.
