Bodybuilding Champion, Fitness Model, Actress, Author and Coach, Lauren Powers Talks About Being Fit, Faithful and Fierce Along with Her New Podcast, the Power Hour with Lauren Powers.

Lauren Powers has done it all, she is a 10 time bodybuilding champion and hosts her own bodybuilding competition in Huntington Beach, CA. She is the author of Beneath the Muscle, SAG actress having appeared in numerous films, television shows and music videos including Claws, Workaholics, No Pain, No Gain and 2 Chainz featuring Lil Wayne and E-40's 2 Dollar Bill. Powers has even been featured on  a few reality television shows like Botched, Good Work and E! True Hollywood Stories - Female Bodybuilders.

Powers has now shifted her focus to coaching and helping other women find their own success when it comes to health, not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. Powers had converted to Christianity a few years ago and has added Faith to her Fit, Fierce and Female mantra.

Just before Gregorian Calendar Easter, we spend the say with Powers in South Orange County, CA, went on a photo shoot with her and her dog, lunch at the Irvine Spectrum, then conducted the interview in her home where we saw her trophies as well as her set up for the Power Hour with Lauren Powers.

Lebanese-American, Writer, Director Lili Matta talks about her latest action, thriller, 86 Melrose Avenue available on VOD, Tuesday April 20, 2021.

We talked with Matta about about surviving the Lebanese Civil War, the issues with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and how mental health is neglected. I prefer to used the term from World War I referring to it as Shell Shocked instead as it does not diminish those currently suffering and struggling through their issues.

Matta also talks about gun violence, the difficulties that people have in interacting with one another because of unresolved issues, warring nations and how a setting like an art gallery is what beings people of all walks of life, from the affluent to the impoverished in appreciating the works of talented creators.

We also discuss with Ms. Matta about the struggles of being the executive producer, director and writer on her own projects, how film helped her escape while hiding in the shelters during the shelling going on during the Lebanese Civil War, where Lebanon had really become more of a chessboard in the disputes between warring nations and not just among the people. Ms. Matta also talks about why so many filmmakers have chosen to leave Los Angeles when it comes to financing independent films.

The first thing I think about when I hear horror movie scream queen is clearly, pastor's kid (PK) born to missionaries in Zimbabwe. Well, in the case of Valerie Jane Parker, that's exactly what we get from this PK, who's father, Pastor Ronnie Allen Meek, will be retiring after her service to the Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ this year.

Parker, who is the youngest of three children and freely admits to be the, "accident baby" enjoys torturing her older siblings with pictures, clips and full scenes of horror flicks that she's either been in or rather enjoys. Leave it to the youngest in the family to torture the elder siblings when the parents have grown tired by the time they come around...or at least that's what I've witness, I'm an only child and I am beyond thankful for that.

We caught up with Parker, discussed why other PK's like Tom Ellis who is Lucifer on the hit series Lucifer go into not only the arts, but also horror. We even pitch a fanfic film where her and Ellis would play lapsed Christian ministers who seek redemption and it would be faith based film gold!

But when he gets charged with protecting little Baby Buddy, a mysterious super strain weed dude that is wanted by every bad vibe in the city, mad misadventures follow!

The charismatic Jane, sat with us in the dispensary set discussing her being apart of the franchise, how much fun she’s having acting in this series and all that comes with it. We even talk about what she would name a specific strand of weed that was not mentioned on the white board.

Filmmaker Malcolm Ingram talks about his Kevin Smith Documentary Clerk and its world premiere at South By Southwest (SXSW)festival in Austin, TX.

Ingram, a longtime friend of fanboy filmmaker Kevin Smith essentially grew up in the film industry together as the latter went into debt to make his first full length feature film Clerks, which celebrates its Silver Anniversary this year.

Ingram spent three years with Smith in making this documentary and at one point during filming, the two refused to talk to each other over a particular person who is walking human waste that Ingram absolutely did not want featured in Clerk, but that Smith insisted on explaining the situation.

Clerk is an examination and celebration of the life of Kevin Smith - and an exploration on how one kid from Jersey completely transformed the cultural landscape. A journey which began 25 years ago at the Sundance Film festival where his DIY film ‘Clerks’, financed on credit cards took the film world by storm. Leading to a career as a filmmaker, podcaster, stand-up comedian, author, comic book writer, television producer - a veritable pop culture icon with a very large and loyal fanbase.

We conducted a phone interview with Ingram about Clerk, how the film Clerks has influenced two generations of filmmakers since it debuted in 1994, the openness of Kevin Smith, how Ingram was on stage at another film festival when the bidding for Red State was to commence and even handed Smith the hockey stick during the auction.

Our conversation was very candid, open and a lot of fun, which he and I will have to pick up at another date when discussing future projects or just out in Los Angeles, CA having a beer.

Legendary Voice Actor Christopher Sabat (Dragon Ball Z, My Hero: One's Justice 2, Philosopher's Grandson) lends his vocal talents for the English dub of Jiang Ziya available now on Blu-ray and Digital from Well Go USA.

Christopher Sabat has voiced one of the most legendary characters in all of anime as Vegeta in the Dragon Ball franchise, now the Texas resident lends his vocal talents to the English dub of Jiang Ziya, a beautifully animated feature that is the follow up to Ne Zha in the Fengshen Cinematic Universe.

Official Synopsis:

To earn his place amongst the gods, celestial army commander Jiang Ziya must vanquish a terrifying fox demon threatening the very existence of the mortal realm. After learning the creature’s fate is tied to that of a young girl, Jiang Ziya disobeys Heaven’s edict and spares the demon, resulting in his banishment to the mortal realm. Ten years later, he is given one more chance to complete the task, and Jiang Ziya must decide: is joining the ranks of the heavens worth the price of one innocent life?

Sabat spoke with us about the world of anime, being recognized by his high school with a Vegeta statue, the power that anime and stories like Jiang Ziya have on the influence of his own life and personal philosophy.

Sadly, we had to the the interview a little short as Sabat had another session following out interview, but at least we got this much when it comes to chatting about just a gorgeous feature.
