In 1993, no one knew that Tress MacNeille, Rob Paulsen and Jess Harnell would bring to life, the three characters of Yakko, Wakko and Dot in the as the Warner Bros. siblings and create a legacy that surpassed their initial 99 episode run.
Tress MacNeille spoke with us about the return of The Animaniacs on their new home at Hulu, being the foundational series of the Kids WB line up in the early 1990s and how a show that lasted five seasons retained a 27 year legacy.
MacNeille who was also the voice of Babs Bunny on Tiny Toons Adventures, which created the Kids WB line up, talks about here career, how Dot never went away because of all the conventions, table reads and sing-alongs at these events and remaining close friends with Paulsen, Harnell and Maurice LaMarche after all these years.
We even discuss what story time in the MacNeille household looked like growing up, especially with her having a large family and how one of the greatest advantages of being a voice over artist and actor is that at some point you never have to grow older than 35.
Official Synopsis:
They’re back! The Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister Dot, have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. After returning to their beloved home, the Warner Bros. water tower, the siblings waste no time in causing chaos and comic confusion as they run loose through the studio, turning the world into their personal playground. Joining Yakko, Wakko and Dot, fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain also return to continue their quest for world domination.

Chad Faust (Saved!, Billionaire Boys Club, The 4400) makes his directorial debut in Girl, which stars Bella Thorne and Mickey Rourke. Faust had less than two weeks in working with these two actors who have very distinct methods in preparing for their roles. Thorne, Faust said, was meticulous in her perpetration memorizing her lines exactly to what was on the page, while Rourke was a little be more willing to play with what was on the page and flow with what the scene required.
Faust spoke with us about how he wrote the script nearly a decade ago and that his character of Charmer was a flawed person who didn't realized what type of person he truly was.
Official Synopsis:
In Girl, A young woman (Bella Thorne) returns to her small hometown to exact revenge on her abusive father, only to discover someone murdered him the day before. As the girl searches for answers, she soon finds herself prey to a sinister sheriff (Mickey Rourke) and uncovers a family legacy more disturbing than she’d imagined.
I spoke with Faust about how things evolved in where the movie was originally to be shot, how things would have changed if he wrote this script today, the struggles of releasing a film during Covid and the difficulties of not only writing, directing and co-starring in a movie that was shot in two weeks.
Faust and I also touch upon spirituality, his own journey since making Saved! and independent films are able to tell the stories they do with a much smaller budget.
Girl opens in limited release on Friday, November 20, 2020 and comes to VOD on Tuesday, November 24, 2020.

Oscar and Emmy nominated Director Skye Fitzgerald in early 2020 immediately prior to the pandemic lock-down, the film offers an intimate glimpse into the experiences of malnourished children and their families surviving in Yemen’s hunger wards that often serve as the last hope against war and starvation.
As a conflict zone with multiple international players deeply invested in the conflict, access to Yemen is tightly controlled and notoriously difficult to access for journalists and filmmakers. The Hunger Ward team gained unprecedented access to stories behind the front lines of the war that speak to the true cost of the conflict.
Fitzgerald and Hunger Ward are currently in consideration for the Critics Choice Awards Best Short Documentary, qualifying in just under 50 minutes. I spoke with Fitzgerald about Yemen being used for a Proxy War between Saudi Arabia and Iran, why the world has turned a blind eye to the Yemenis and this man made famine that violates every human right on the planet Earth.
We discuss how this began under the Obama administration and continued on through the Trump presidency, of which both completely ignored and both funded the Saudis by selling weapons to the Arab kingdom allowing this war on Yemen to continue.
Yemen was not a Third World Country 6 years ago, but under funding from both administrations, while being ignored by Europe and the rest of the Middle East, they are suffering in all through this unjust and horrifying famine that the world should be ashamed of.
Hunger Ward is a part of a trilogy of documentaries produced by Spin Film and what has been happening in the Middle East over the half decade.
You can find out more information about Hunger Ward and how to donate to the hunger wards of Yemen on their official website www.hungerward.org. Proceeds go directly to those hospitals without a middle-man. You can purchase Hunger Ward and other documentaries at Spin Film at their official website, www.spinfilm.org/trilogy.

Co-directors John Langmore and Bud Force bring to life Cowboys: A Documentary Portrait, providing an aesthetically mesmerizing, sure-handed look at how Western traditions have found a way to coexist with society's modern achievements.
Cowboys: A Documentary Portrait follows the lives of several, multi-ethnic Cowboys (and Cowgirls, even though the actual term is considered a verb not a noun making Cowboy gender neutral) as they go on a cattle drive across several Western United States through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and into Northern Nevada fighting the elements, isolation and being separated from modern society, while still following the structures of what has made the industry survive for over 150 years.
Langmore and Force spoke with me about how people forgot that the industry exists, how modern vehicles cannot replace the traditional cattle drive, what ranching today looks like and how being humane to the animals is far more important than people may have preceived the industry to be in the past century. In fact, they stated in the documentary that if someone hates the animals, they will washout of the industry rather quickly.
These cowboys are not only team members, but family, navigators and even veterinarians in making sure these animals make it to their destination healthy and safe.
Official Synopsis:
An authentic, intimate depiction of the contemporary cowboy, Cowboys: A Documentary Portrait straps audiences in the saddle alongside working men and women on some of today’s largest and most remote cattle ranches in the American West. Told genuinely and reverently through first-hand accounts from cowboys in the deepest, most isolated parts of America, the timeless documentary illustrates not only the rewards of a cowboy’s lifestyle but also the unvarnished hardships of a celebrated but misunderstood way of life.
Utilizing their extensive collective backgrounds, co-directors John Langmore (published ranch photographer and former working cowboy) and Bud Force (rodeo cowboy turned award-winning director/DP) provide an aesthetically mesmerizing, sure-handed look at how Western traditions have found a way to coexist with society's modern achievements.

'Mystic' Zach Hirsch is the youngest sports handicapper and joins IMPACT Championship Boxing series along with becoming the youngest ringside reporter in the history of Bare Knuckle Boxing (BKFC) taking place tonight on Pay Per View on FiteTV and other outlets.
Hirsch, now 18, has been picking winners since the age of 10 and is recognized as the world’s best teenage sports handicapper and analyst. He has become a popular social influencer with more than 350,000 Instagram followers.
Hirsch is the most popular and most accurate young sports analyst and handicapper in the world. Last season at only seventeen years old, Zach picked over 90% of all football, basketball and combat sports correctly. Amazingly he picked 21 straight college football games correctly including the SEC Championship, the College Semi-Finals and the National Championship Game. He has predicted hundreds of boxing, MMA and most recently BKFC Bareknuckle bouts correctly in addition to accurately calling the last four NFL Super Bowls.
Hirsch will join the IMPACT broadcast team alongside boxing great Antonio Tarver, who will call the action from ringside. I spoke with Hirsch about joining with Bare Knuckle Boxing Championship, how difficult it is to try to predict sports handicapping during a pandemic, how he got his nickname (spoiler, it surprised me) and who he sees will take the main event at tonight's BKBC fights.

DeDee Pfeiffer (Cybill, For Your Love, Wanted) took a near decade long hiatus from her career, returning to college and earning a masters degree in Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), specializing in mental illness, chemical dependency and homelessness. Especially now with Covid-19, a large homeless population and a struggling economy, of which, Pfeiffer hopes to connect her education and celebrity to raise awareness and shine a spotlight on those with needs in these areas.
Pfeiffer returns to television in the David E. Kelly series Big Sky, premiering on ABC, Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
Pfeiffer, who is an Orange County, CA native jokes about her displeasure having attended Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach. The true irony is that Ocean View has no ocean or view, but you can see a Home Depot from their parking lot. DeDee and I crack a lot of jokes about having both gone to high school in Huntington Beach, and this profile turned into just two fast friends enjoying the moment, which of course some seriousness peppered in between.
As well as finishing her education, Pfeiffer took time off from acting to be a single mother to two boys, one of which is a Tae Kwon Do black belt and MMA fighter in training.
Along with her previous work in television, Pfeiffer has appeared on CSI:NY, Seinfeld and ER. She has also had memorable roles opposite George Clooney in Red Surf, Michael Douglas in Falling Down, Keanu Reeves in Tune In Tomorrow and many other films.
DeDee Pfeiffer plays Denise in Big Sky Premiering on ABC on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Check local listings for times.

Pauly Shore and Steve-O kick this outrageous, raunchy comedy into high gear. When engaged couple Sarah (Aimee Teegarden) and Blake (Mike Castle) buy their dream home, there’s a catch: a party animal named Randy (Shore) in the guest house who refuses to leave! I caught up with Pauly Shore after not having seen him since the MTV Beach House days in Laguna Beach, CA, cracked a few jokes and talked about his role as Randy Cockfield, how Sam decided to bring him on as the star of the project and drinking whiskey sours in Las Vegas, NV when we can finally gather again.

Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) first every African-American professional dancer, Britt Stewart has had an amazing career in her young life. Before the age of 30, she had already with toured and performed alongside world-renowned recording artists such as Rihanna, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Florence + The Machine, Selena Gomez, and Janet Jackson. She was also one of Katy Perry's core dancers for 3 years where she performed with her in various performances around the world, including the Super Bowl and her Prismatic World Tour.
She also starred in the High School Musical trilogy on Disney Channel and is now back with the Disney Family on the ABC network every Monday nights at 8 p.m. teaming with Figure Skating Winter Olympic Champion, Johnny Weir as they shoot for a chance to win the coveted Mirror Ball.
I openly admit that I had not idea that Britt was the first African-American professional ballroom dancer on DWTS and we discuss the significance of what that means to her and the example that it will set for other African-American girls who aspire to break stereotypes in following their career path.
We also discuss the needing to change of buzz words like, "urban" and other phrases that have become problematic over the years for being euphemisms to express Black culture or identity.
Stewart would be thrilled to win the Mirror Ball not only as the first Black woman on DWTS but also during her first season as a regular member only added to her list of credentials and beyond impressive resume.
