Fantasy Benchwarmers

We look at four more teams in this episode - the Brooklyn Nets, the Charlotte Hornets, the Chicago Bulls and the Dallas Mavericks.

After all the drama of a potential Kevin Durant trade that never happened, how do we now value KD? Are we staying away from Ben Simmons? How about Kyrie? How high/low should he go?

For the Hornets, what's a good value for Gordon Hayward considering he never finishes the season. Who steps up and fill the shoes left by Miles Bridges? Is Terry Rozier underrated?

Can Demar Derozan do a repeat performance this year with the Bulls? Is Nikola Vucevic on the decline now?

Well, the Mavericks depth chart was quite boring. But hey, hope you get to listen till the end though.

Finally, the Donovan Mitchell trade happened and it was not New York. The Cleveland Cavaliers made a surprise move on former Jazz star Mitchell acquiring him while trading Colin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen and a bunch of picks. How does this bode for the fantasy value of Mitchell as he now plays alongside Darius Garland? Meanwhile for Garland, who had a great fantasy season last year, how will this impact the major stride he made last season?

We also took a glimpse of the depth chart of the Atlanta Hawks and the Boston Celtics. Can Clint Capela regain some old form or will Onyeka Okongwu overtake him for the starting gig? Is John Collins a steal at 60?

How do you view Jaylen Brown's fantasy ceiling? Will he plateau or will he get better?

We continue our depth chart analysis series this time with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers and the San Antonio Spurs.

Can Anthony Edwards get his fantasy game to the next level? How will KAT and Rudy Gobert's fantasy value look like playing side by side each other?

Has Tyrese Maxey moved past Tobias Harris as the 3rd best fantasy option in Philly?

Who in the Spurs would be the best fantasy option? Can Keldon Johnson be "THE guy" for the Spurs?

It's that time of the year once again when we look into each team's depth chart and assess who would be every team's best fantasy option plus some players we should be looking out for that could turn out to be a surprise this season. In this episode, we look into three teams which we feel would not really make any major moves heading into the season - the OKC Thunder, the Houston Rockets and the Orlando Magic.

We also discussed the Patrick Beverley for Talen Horton-Tucker deal and the Kevin Durant news that was pretty much a non-news.

A quick disclaimer, we recorded this a few hours before the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant decided to "move forward with the partnership".

This episode kicked off with some KD talk and what his value could look like this season. Would you trust him still as a Net knowing that he wanted out of Brooklyn? We also looked into another star - Donovan Mitchell and his value to the Utah Jazz if they could not find a good trade partner for him this season. Are we seeing Mitchell being another SGA in fantasy terms?

The real meat though of this episode is about the NBA schedule. Commish breaks down some of the teams with good and bad playoff schedules and we discuss how important (or not important) the schedule is in fantasy basketball, especially in head-to-head play.

Yahoo! Just threw out its NBA Fantasy rankings a couple of weeks back. It's still a messed up rankings but we decided to talk about it anyway. One thing we discovered here during our discussion - man, I don't want to get into that 12-14 picks this season!

Anyway, it's still a bit early, in case you guys are drafting in a few days, this might be something that can help.

Every year, there are a bunch of players who are notorious for frustrating fantasy owners because of their constant injuries throughout the season. Some of these guys are high potential yet very high risk players. Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, Anthony Davis, Zion Williamson, just to name a few. In this episode we briefly look into them to see how should we strategize picking these players and where are we comfortable selecting them given their risk.

It's still early, but there has been a lot of excitement on some of the rookies this season particularly Chet Holmgren of the OKC Thunder. So in today's episode we looked into the rookie class and some very early impressions on the top picks among the rookies - Holmgren, Paolo Banchero, Jabari Smith, Keegan Murray and Jaden Ivey.

The biggest trade of the year thus far - Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves!

Fantasy-wise, can Rudy Gobert and Karl Anthony-Towns thrive together? Will Gobert's arrival limit the fantasy capabilities of KAT? Who will benefit from this trade fantasy wise?

Last season, the Indiana Pacers big men became very attractive options during the fantasy playoffs. With the re-signing of Jalen Smith (who the Pacers said they will start), who becomes the better option between Smith and sophomore Isaiah Jackson?

Finally, James Harden, Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal were first rounder guards last season that disappointed their managers to some extent. Of course, Lillard being the most disappointing.

With these guys signing their very lucrative extensions (Beal and Lillard), and Harden taking a pay cut to help Philadelphia's title chances, how much would you trust them this season in fantasy? Will they still go as high as last season's drafts?

Commish and I discuss on where we feel we're comfortable getting them this season.

We are back for our fourth season! And we kick things off by looking back to the playoffs and discussing which players could carry their great performances to the next fantasy season, which players had fluky performances and who are those players that might go under the radar just because of their poor showing in the playoffs.

Then we look into the early moves in free agency as well as some trades that happened before the Kevin Durant sweepstakes opened up. This is probably the first part of our free agency talks as there seems to be a lot more moves waiting to happen. Of course the biggest domino belongs to the "bus rider" Kevin Durant.
