Remember the NBA Bubble that ended the 2019-2020 season? Remember how good players like Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell were? Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but we've been victimized by the bubble performances. Tell us, which bubble stud is living up to the hype? I don't know about you, but we couldn't think of anyone. Oh well.

Let's talk about James Harden. Commish Eric has been receiving a lot of questions about trading James Harden, so we decided to set the record straight, well, we discussed our takes on what type of deals should you ask for when you are trading Harden away. 

Thankfully, Caris Levert will seemingly survive a health scare. Sometimes a curveball in life might just be the thing that we need to overcome whatever it is we're dealing. It's not fantasy basketball-related but I just want to squeeze this in as I reflect on what happened with Levert and the sudden loss of media personality Sekou Smith AND the death anniversary of Kobe and Gigi...let's be thankful for what we have and the cards we've been dealt with. Life is short so let's enjoy every moment with the people most important to us.

I can't believe that it has been 5 weeks and we have yet to talk about Luka Doncic! Well, if he shoots his free throws like he did today, we'll probably notice him more. Free throws is the one aspect in his game that many fantasy managers dislike about Luka, and this year he has been pretty decent averaging 76%. Just last week he averaged 80% on his free throws. If keeps this up and add a steal or a block a game, he'll be a fantasy stud who will definitely be worthy of a top 5 ranking (he's currently 17th). He's young, so we wouldn't be surprised if he gets there sooner.

Kawhi and Paul George are on COVID protocols (contact tracing), so we talk about some Clippers "replacements" who might just be worth the weeklong stream while they are gone. Another rookie takes the wheel of inconsistency as James Wiseman was benched in favor of Kevon freaking Looney! Do you guys think Wiseman should be coming off the bench behind Looney?

I'm not sure if you still remember, but the Washington Wizards are still part of the NBA and they finally played their first game today after a string of postponements in the past couple of weeks due to COVID outbreak and protocols. We look into the players to use as they slowly get their core players back. If you are a Myles Turner and OG Anunoby owner, rejoice as they gave us some fine fantasy stat line today with those steals and blocks numbers. We also talk about a couple of players who got back into our Buy list and should we be worried with Andre Drummond?

Happy Sunday everyone! In today's quickie, we got tired of talking about underperforming centers so we decided to honor the centers who are overachieving versus their ADPs and other late first rounders who have leapfrogged the early to mid round picks. We focus our attention on Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic. Without taking into consideration the injury risk, who would you want to own moving forward? For sure Jokic will get most of the votes here but commish Eric makes his case for Embiid who has been quietly balling this season.

Captain Capela is the story of the day! After his 27 points, 26 rebounds and 5 blocks effort in his last game, Clint Capela followed up with a rare triple double 13 points, 19 rebounds and 10 BLOCKS! His managers sure are quite happy with the way he is playing. As for the rest of us, let's be thankful if he is not in our opponent's team for this week. Trae Young also came back to life after a string of poor performances over the past few weeks and John Collins, well, there's really not much to say but *sigh*. 

Kawhi Leonard is low-key ranked in the top 5 so far and Deandre Ayton slowly trending up. Who would you rather have moving forward - Capela or Ayton? Hmmm...will add that to our Benchwarmer Pulse in our FB group. We also hope you've sold or traded some of these trending down players. Some of them we've already mentioned in our previous quickies. 

Anyway, hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend. I've been badly hit this week and my teams are struggling, so I'll just probably drink through the weekend.

On to the quickie. We look at a bunch of players in the buy low/sell high tiers as well as the waiver pickups (owned in less than 40%) and drop players. We also look into a few trade options for these buy low/sell high guys that you may want to target. Eric threw in a couple of hot takes as I could not help but bring up once again LMA. Nice to see some players returning from injury put up some great stat lines, but none was greater than Clint Capela’s! He was in our trending up list, but like what commish Eric said, we never expected something like this.

There were also a couple of firsts today that had fantasy managers observing keenly. It’s the first time the Brooklyn Nets’ Big 3 shared the same ball. The results were nice for all three stars, but then again it was a double overtime game so the numbers could be bloated a bit. But it is probably safe to say that the Big 3 will just be as good as they were even before the trade.

The second team managers have their eyes on would be the dynamics of having Jarrett Allen in a Cavs team that is loaded in the frontcourt. The cause for concern among Allen’s owners are valid, but after watching today’s game, his drop in production won’t be too bad. He will be decent at best, but definitely NOT droppable.

In today's quickie we discuss the beneficiaries of the Myles Turner injury (though this seems like a short-term one) and why we are a bit worried about Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram. With just 2 games in the slate, there wasn't much to discuss really.

Looks like the excitement of CJ McCollum owners on his hot start will be short-lived as his foot injury will sideline him for about a month and based from Eric’s research that is probably the best case scenario.   

We also look into the Cam Johnson/Jae Crowder position battle in Phoenix after they made some surprising lineup changes in today’s game. Washington looks to be doing the herd immunity strategy in fighting COVID as their COVID positive count reached 7. And is it time to move on from old reliables Demarcus Cousins and Blake Griffin?  

Oh and if you are looking for some defensive stats, our Buy players can probably be good options.
