Three more days before the 2020-2021 NBA season starts and we know that some of you will still have a few drafts this weekend so we thought of sharing more tips on building a solid team through the draft. We invited fellow podcaster Papi Roi Ciruela of Fantasy Basketball PH to share his thought process during our FBW Superstars League draft. Papi Roi gave a lot of great insights about drafting and building your team foundation as well as getting valued players in the middle and later rounds. He also explained his strategy in terms of "punting". We once again got carried away with the discussion, so we'll do back-to-back episodes on this. It's part 2 of our NBA Fantasy talk with Mo Twister and in this episode shares his bust and sleepers as well as players he stays away from. Mo also gave his take on some of the more intriguing players like Kevin Durant, Christian Wood, Lebron James and Paul George and why Lou Will’s fondness for chicken wings matter inf NBA Fantasy. It's the most wonderful time of the year! Nope, not Christmas yet, but it's NBA Fantasy Draft weekend and for many of us fantasy basketball nerds, this is the most exciting part of the fantasy season next to winning your league. We've had a few drafts already done and as always, it's fun (until you found out TJ Warren's got plantar fasciitis and you just got him early) especially when you meet with your friends via Zoom and do some commentaries as you pick. .

In this episode, we were joined by radio DJ and as we found out a really hardcore fantasy GM, Mr. Mo Twister! For part 1 of this 2-part episode, Mo shared why a roto league is far superior than a head-to-head league, how to deal with non-roto-friendly players in your team and the things he does to make this game a real GM experience. Apologies for abruptly ending part one of the draft primer, we just did not know how to end it. That was fast! NBA Free Agency started this week and despite the lean lineup of free agents, it did not lack the excitement after some players made surprising moves. In this episode we talked about the players who benefited from their FA signings and which players may have lost some fantasy value. We also answered our very first FBW mailbag question! So whoever sent in their question, thank you and hope we were able to help you out.

We were joined by one of our follower and co-manager in one of our organized leagues Earl Leonard Sebastian who threw in some great insights on players to watch out for in your drafts who may make some splash in this year's fantasy.

It was a crazy week of NBA trades that started with Chris Paul and his massive, "untradeable" contract being moved to Phoenix to the Milwaukee Bucks taking one of last year's disappointing fantasy player Jrue Holiday and then finally Kelly Oubre Jr. joining the Golden State Warriors after the devastating news to Klay Thompson. In this episode we were joined by one of our Fantasy Benchwarmers follower Paolo Sumera. 

Paolo's a hardcore NBA fantasy veteran who played 8-9 leagues last season, so we were definitely happy to let him share his take on some of these trades which hopefully helps our followers with the pre-draft research. Plus, it's always fun to have some followers and fellow NBA Fantasy fanatics join the show!

What an exciting week in the NBA pre-season that was capped off by the NBA Draft!
