Fantasy Talks Live

In this episode, the one and only Derri Herbert is back to discuss and spoil the heck out of the wonderful Rain Wild Chronicles by Robin Hobb.

In this one, I am glad to discover I am not the only one who thinks that this tetralogy is the hidden gem within the Realm of the Elderlings.

In this episode, I am joined by indie author Robert Bone to talk about his first book, The Condemned, book 1 in his Ages of Eshéa series. You can find out more about Robert and his work at www.robertboneauthor.com

In this episode, the queen of the Elderlings herself, Derri Herbert, is back to discuss the third installment in the Realm of the Elderlings fantasy series by Robin Hobb. As usual, I present to Derri why I think some parts of the series do not work that well and Derri tells me why I am wrong!

In one massive scoop for the podcast, I have the pleasure of firing questions at Joshua Bilmes, chairman of the Jabberwocky Literary Agency, and agent to some of the biggest names in Fantasy, like Brandon Sanderson, Charlaine Harris and many more.

In this episode, Mr Bilmes talks about his career, what the role of an agent is and the best way for aspiring authors to approach a literary agent.

After our successful yet unenjoyable journey through the Wheel of Time series, I am joined by Ian from the BNB Books Youtube channel for a live conversation to discuss which fantasy series to embark on next. Turns out, we settled on one we had not even considered that took the channel and the podcast to unexpected heights...

In this episode, the wonderful Derri from Derri's Read It Before youtube channel joins me to discuss this wonderful trilogy by American author Robin Hobb.

In this episode, Ian and I go through our experience of reading the full Wheel of Time series, only to find out that we were pretty much on the same page...

In this episode, I hold a really interesting conversation with independent author, SPFBO finalist and grimdark emperess Holly Tinsley. Holly tells me about how she has managed to make a living out of being a writer in spite of not having a traditional publishing deal.

You can find out more about Holly's work over at her website: www.hltinsley.co.uk

In this episode, I was joined by Jolien from https://www.youtube.com/@JolienReads and the amazing Derri from https://www.youtube.com/@derrisreaditbefore to unpick and discuss The Farseer Trilogy, the first trilogy in the Realm of the Elderlings saga by Robin Hobb.

A couple of years ago, shortly after starting my Youtube channel, I made a connection with someone across the Atlantic. Joined by our love for fantasy and curiosity about one of the biggest series of all time, we embarked on a journey of discover together of The Wheel of Time. Suffice to say that, what we discovered we did not expect...
