Farmers are calling for changes to the way funding for councils is determined. 

New South Wales Farmers is renewing its call for improvements to funding for regional local governments..amid state government cost shifting. 

It means councils have more responsibilities than ever before and farmers are bearing the brunt. 

Rural Reporter Emily Minney has spoken with the Association's Business, Economics and Trade Committee Chairman John Lowe, who says improving the system has a range of benefits.
