MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell spent all of last week hyping up another round of "evidence" that he was submitting to the US Supreme Court, but this week he's singing a much different tune. Lindell proclaimed last week that it was all over and he had won, but now he's begging the public for help after he realized that the Supreme Court isn't going to look at his case - and after this new "evidence" was trashed by the experts.

Also, Republican Representative Lauren Boebert is convinced that the world is conspiring against her, and she whined during a recent radio interview that she "can't even go to the theater" without it being broadcast to the world. There's a very good reason why her theater shenanigans were broadcast to the whole world, and that incident alone is cited as the number one reason why her former supporters have turned on her.

And according to a new poll released this week, a huge majority of Americans do NOT believe that Donald Trump should be given immunity from his criminal prosecutions, and that even includes a plurality of Republicans. To put that information another way - a majority of Americans believe that Donald Trump should be prosecuted and that the legal system should determine what happens from there. This doesn't mean they all think he's guilty, this only means they want to allow the justice system to do its job.

Finally,  a former employee of Donald Trump's Bedminster golf resort has agreed to a settlement after claiming that a former supervisor had harassed her. But in the settlement agreement, lawyers for both sides made is clear that Alina Habba was NOT a party to the settlement and could still be sued in the future. This is because the employee alleges that Habba tricked her into the settlement to begin with by posing as a friend and giving her bad legal advice so that Habba could endear herself to Donald Trump.

While some conservatives are scrambling to defend Donald Trump's comments over the weekend that there would be a "bloodbath" if he doesn't win reelection and his statement that immigrants are not people, others are actually calling him out for the disgusting comments. Even Republican Senator Bill Cassidy was forced to admit that the comments weren't bad and could hurt Trump with moderate and independent voters. 

Also, Donald Trump's claims of only wanting to be a dictator "on day one" have blown up in his face after he was caught on a hot mic talking about how badly he wants to be a dictator. In a conversation with Fox News host Steve Doocy, Trump privately said that Kim Jong Un is able to get everyone to stand at attention when he speaks because of his power, and Trump said that this is exactly how he wants to be treated.

And Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson has resorted to begging his fellow Republican members of Congress to "knock it off" as their infighting reaches new levels. Johnson reportedly told Republicans that they are holding onto the majority by a thread, and that their fighting with one another isn't helping anything. But Johnson's warning might be coming too late, as the public has already seen that these Republicans have no interest in governing. 

Finally, according to new reports, Donald Trump's campaign is so low on cash that they are having to scale back his rallies because they simply can't afford to hold as many as they had wanted. This is both good and bad for Trump. His rallies are his best way to get in front of his base, but they also provide him with plenty of opportunities to say horrific things that end up in the headlines for days. But the bottom line is that he's running out of money with no way to replenish it.

 Donald Trump's supporters, including those in Congress, have gone absolutely insane after a judge ruled Friday that he would NOT be kicking Fani Willis off the Georgia case. Trump's biggest fans have spent the past few days on social media railing against the decision and acting like they understand how the law works. They are claiming that the court is "corrupt" and that the "system is rigged," which are the usual claims they make when the law goes against them. 

Also, according to a bombshell new report, business associates linked to Donald Trump paid Alexander Smirnov at least $600,000 in the year 2020 - the very same year that he began lying to the FBI about the Biden family, for which Smirnov has now been indicted. The timing of the payments is sketchy, to say the least, especially considering the fact that there are no clear indications about why he was paid in the first place. Farron Cousins explains what we know, and more importantly.

And right wing talker Alex Jones found himself in a bit of an odd position this past week when he posted a photo of himself on social media along with a caption that simply said "I will eat your Leftist ass." The Internet went crazy over the sexualized post, forcing Jones to come and out and say that he totally meant to do that. But he then went even further and said that it means he wouldn't hesitate to cannibalize people on the Left, which didn't make it any better. 

Finally,  psychologist Dr. John Gartner, in a recent interview with Salon.com, laid into the corporate media for "normalizing" Donald Trump's cognitive decline while they also try to "pathologize" President Biden. Countless articles and news segments have been devoted to diagnosing President Biden, while very few (in mainstream media) have done the same with Trump, and Dr. Gartner is starting to get angry about the double standard and clear bias against Biden.

Republican Congressman Jim Jordan is now threatening Fulton County DA Fani Willis with a criminal referral if she doesn't honor the subpoena that he sent to her as part of his ongoing harassment campaign. Willis has been subpoenaed to testify about the possible misuse of federal funds in her district, and defying the subpoena could actually lead to contempt charges, just like former Trump officials have found out recently. But the subpoena might not actually be enforceable.

Also, Donald Trump's campaign has once again found themselves in a position where they have to make excuses for their actions after his campaign ads appeared on videos that promoted pro-Nazi content. Trump's team is now saying that bad algorithms on the right wing site Rumble are to blame and that they had no control over where the ads were placed. To some degree, that is true, but they could have done a better job of preventing it from happening at all.

Finally, a visibly confused Donald Trump proclaimed during an interview with Newsmax this past week that "nobody's been treated like Trump in terms of badly." Not only is it weird that he refers to himself in the third person, but that isn't how a proper sentence is even structured. Not to mention the fact that throughout history, millions of people have been treated far worse than Trump, including hundreds of millions of people at this very moment.

 Judge Aileen Cannon issued a ruling on Thursday that surprisingly did NOT include the dismissal of the documents case against Donald Trump. But at least one legal expert says that the ruling was written in a way that was "deliberately dumb" and also left the door open for a "nightmare scenario" where Trump can get the charges dropped later at a time when the DOJ can't appeal it.

Also, Matt Gaetz has been served a subpoena to testify in a civil lawsuit about his relationship with a woman who was, at the time, underage but allegedly had a relationship with Gaetz. The civil lawsuit is actually AGAINST the woman who served Gaetz the subpoena, as she and Joel Greenberg are being sued by a lobbyist friend of Gaetz for defamation and conspiracy. This testimony from Gaetz could exacerbate his other legal problems.

And finally, during an interview on Newsmax this week, Donald Trump went on a tangent that proves he's a very stupid human being. He claimed that Hillary Clinton used actual acid to destroy computer hard drives - acid that he claims can destroy everything within a 10 mile radius. He also claimed that Bill Clinton smuggled classified documents in his socks, which is another misinterpretation of what actually happened. Trump hears parts of things and then uses his dumb brain to fill in the missing pieces.

Donald Trump dug a massive hole for himself this week when he appeared on CNBC and openly called for cuts to Social Security and Medicare. This would negatively impact the largest voting bloc that Donald Trump has, and now his campaign is in complete panic mode as they try to clean up the mess that they've created. That won't be easy work because the Democrats have already seized on this issue.

Also, Trump lawyer Alina Habba went on Fox News this week to once again make a complete fool of herself. When she was asked about Donald Trump's upcoming criminal trial in New York, Habba said that it may not happen because they have an immunity argument waiting at the Supreme Court that could get the whole thing thrown out, and that's what she thinks should happen. The New York trial is about actions Trump engaged in BEFORE becoming President, so Habba's claim would mean that Trump has retroactive criminal immunity for his entire life.

And Republican Senator Katie Britt has decided to make lemonade out of the lemons that life has given her recently. Britt sent out a fundraising email this week where she begged supporters for cash while blaming her current problems on the online Left, the "liberal" media, and everyone else who made fun of her. While the Left did have a lot of fun with her response, she's ignoring the fact that it was conservatives who called the speech the "biggest disaster" the Republicans have faced.

Finally, Donald Trump is running it down to the wire on paying the massive bond for his New York fraud trial judgement, and even Alina Habba says she has no idea if he has the money to pay it. The clock is about to run out, and Trump doesn't appear to be any closer to finding a way to pay the bond than he was the day the verdict was handed down. And this time he won't be able to get his buddies to bail him out like he did in order to pay the bond for the defamation lawsuit verdict.

Republican Representative Ken Buck announced that he wasn't going to wait until the end of the year to leave office, and he'll be ending his career next week. But in making his announcement, Buck also torched his own Party as being completely dysfunctional. And that dysfunction is likely going to get worse as the GOP loses yet another seat in an already close House - and this could have a serious negative impact on Lauren Boebert's career. 

Also, according to new reports, Donald Trump's legal team is terrified that the former president is going to talk himself into a mess during the upcoming criminal trial in Manhattan, and they really want him to just sit down and keep quiet. But that's not what Trump does, and he has repeatedly, in past trials, taken the stand and managed to not help his case one bit during any of those instances.

And over the weekend, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell promised that he would be hand-delivering a new set of election fraud "evidence" to the Supreme Court at 3pm on Friday, but he abruptly cancelled his stunt a few days later, claiming that his lawyers told him it was "too dangerous." Instead, his lawyers are just going to deliver the evidence to the Court, and that'll be the last that we hear of this particular scheme from the pillow man. 

Finally, new RNC co-chair Lara Trump may have accidentally destroyed her father-in-law Donald Trump's claims of immunity during an interview this week. Lara went on Fox News to whine about the Biden administration spending money on get out the vote efforts, and said that if Trump ever tried to use tax dollars to sway the outcome of an election Democrats would lose their minds. Legal experts were quick to point out that this means that Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election results were those of a campaigning candidate, NOT of a sitting president, and that could seriously hurt his immunity claims.

Donald Trump's legal team submitted an urgent filing to Judge Juan Merchan - the judge overseeing the upcoming criminal trial - saying that he must dismiss the case because Trump had presidential immunity. The judge didn't waste any time in submitting his response to the motion by telling Trump's lawyers that the deadline for filing any new pre-trial motions was last month, and he waited too long to make this argument.

Also,  one of the star witnesses against Donald Trump who worked at Mar-a-Lago for 2 decades has come forward and spilled all of the information about how Trump moved classified documents and attempted to cover it up. The man, Brian Butler, says that he was basically an unwitting accomplice in helping to move and hide documents because he didn't know what they were, but he also revealed information that could absolutely sink Trump's legal defense. 

And Republican Senator Katie Britt is trying to slink away from the newfound media attention that she's getting, but that isn't stopping the onslaught of reporting about her horrid career following her State of the Union response. One outlet actually managed to track down some of her former childhood friends, and they explained exactly what went wrong with Britt and what caused her to become such a radical lunatic.

Finally, Donald Trump's legal team is now begging Judge Aileen Cannon for a significant delay in the documents trial because, as they argued in their latest motion, they are just too swamped with other trials at the moment. While that's not a horrible argument, it also isn't the problem of the court, and the lawyers have had more than enough time to prep for this trial and get ready to present in court. Farron explains why this very weak idea is probably going to get approved by the feckless Judge Cannon.

Jimmy Kimmel once again hosted the Academy Awards, and at one point during the ceremony he pulled out his phone to read a "critique" from one of the show's viewers. It turns out that this "viewer" was actually Donald Trump who was ranting about Kimmel on Truth Social. Kimmel read the post and then commented that he was surprised Trump was watching, saying, "Isn't it past your jail time?" But Trump isn't the only Republican politician that Kimmel skewered on Sunday night.

Also, during a speech in Georgia over the weekend, Donald Trump appeared to once again slander writer E. Jean Carroll, saying that she brought a fake case against him and accusing her of lying about what happened once more. These are the same claims that already got him sued twice, and he could now be facing the possibility of a third lawsuit or the revocation of his $91 million bond - or BOTH.

And Republican Senator Katie Britt is still facing a tremendous amount of backlash over her pathetic State of the Union response, and one of the biggest problems she now has is that she told a story that she now admits isn't exactly the truth. Britt attempted to tell the story of a victim of smuggling and made it appear as if it happened under Biden's watch. However, it actually took place 20 years ago during a Republican presidency, and she sheepishly admitted and then somehow defended her statement on Fox News over the weekend.

Next,  Lauren Boebert was boasting just over a week ago of securing her long-awaited endorsement from Donald Trump. But judging from the latest polling data out of her new district, it didn't help at all. Boebert once again placed in the middle of the pack following a debate straw poll from last week, showing that the Trump endorsement didn't move the needle for her. Apparently the claims of being a carpetbagger coupled with her family drama are still too much for the voters.

Finally,  in a speech over the weekend, Donald Trump mocked President Biden's stutter to an audience that laughed at the whole incident. Biden has freely admitted that he has battled a stutter for his entire adult life, and Trump continues to sink to new lows in order to attack his opponent. This is coming from a man that is still bitter about Biden's State of the Union receiving such a positive response, and since he can't counter it with intellect, he goes for the personal attacks.

 Donald Trump has received even more bad financial news. The cash-strapped former president has been ordered to pay out hundreds of thousands of dollars after his lawsuit against former British spy Christopher Steele was thrown out of court. The judge ordered Trump to pay the legal fees of the people he sued, and although the number is less than half of what was asked for, it is still a major blow to a guy that is likely going to have his assets seized in a few days.

Also, the American public and political pundits are all in agreement that President Biden knocked his State of the Union address out of the park, and the ongoing praise that the President is receiving is driving Donald Trump completely crazy. The former president lashed out at the world for loving Biden's performance, with Trump going on a deranged Truth Social rant where he had the audacity to claim that Biden is a complete "psycho."

And Fox News host Martha MacCallum ended up stumping Alina Habba during an interview late last week when she asked a simple question about how Donald Trump is going to pay the hundreds of millions of dollars that he owes after losing all of his lawsuits. Habba didn't have an answer, and instead said that "we have appeals" and "we have motions" that are yet to be ruled on, but the truth is that they've lost all their motions and appeals so far.

Finally, special prosecutor Jack Smith laid into and completely destroyed all of Donald Trump's legal arguments in a filing to Judge Aileen Cannon late last week. In his response to claims made by Trump and his legal team, Smith laid out EXACTLY why Trump's handling of classified documents warranted prosecution while other cases did not, and he even went as far as to dismantle Trump's claims about being protected by the Presidential Records Act. This was a powerful filing, but it may not be enough to persuade the wholly corrupt judge, as Farron explains.
