In today's episode of Fate of the Union, Franklin interviews "MAGA" artist and President Trump supporter, Donna Campbell. Donna is pleased to announce a series of paintings that capture the Donald J. Trump presidency. First in the series commemorates the 2017 Inauguration, where following the ceremony, the newly sworn-in President and First Lady strolled down Pennsylvania Avenue lined with celebrating supporters, the band playing, and the U.S. Capitol in the background, and not to leave out his signature campaign slogan MAGA - "Making America Great Again." This commemorative work of art is now available in a Limited-Edition Series as a fine art giclee print.
More about Donna and her art is available here: https://trumpmagapainting.com/
After graduating Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh, Donna began her career as an illustrator in the fashion industry, before turning to the art of the portrait.
“Creating a portrait that captures not just the subject’s appearance, but an intangible essence is the supreme objective. It can be found in a child’s laughter, an adult in his or her prime, or a career professional at the end of an illustrious resume; the blending of setting, clothing, stance, and expression all combine to portray the image. A memorable portrait conveys life.”
Along with commissions, Donna divides her time teaching aspiring and talented artists. She has taught art at The University of Richmond for over ten years and holds classes at a studio in Richmond’s historic Bon Air. Donna is often called on to judge art shows.
She has illustrated a national bestselling Christmas novella titled The Special Guest, produced a series of landmark art prints that hang in the Historical Society Museum in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, and a graphite drawing of Joe Montana rendered early in her career once displayed in the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
