  • Devon Bandison | Leading Fathers
I am proud and privileged to be able to share this conversation I recently had with Devon Bandison.  We had a great time!
Thanks for being on the show Devon!
Please reach out to Devon and let him know that you heard him here and what an amazing impact he is having on fatherhood!
    ***From http://www.devonbandison.com/about/***

Devon “The Connector” Bandison was born and raised in NYC and shares the same energetic heartbeat, big personality and commitment to excellence as his hometown. Devon is a high performance coach and speaker who’s committed to individuals and organizations that want to maximize their potential in areas of leadership, productivity, fatherhood, and work-life satisfaction. His highly sought after seminars and workshops help organizations, individuals, and teams increase employee performance, motivation, engagement, and retention.
Devon’s signature talk “The Most Important Question A Father Can Ask Himself” has gained national recognition and was a featured TED Talk at TEDx Boca Raton in March 2015.
Devon earned his Master of Public Administration and holds a B.A. in Psychology. He has over 15 years of experience creating and delivering nationally recognized community programs providing professionals, fathers, youth and families with the tools to become more effective leaders. He has served on various city and statewide councils, committees and organizations that produce grants for non-for profit organizations and improve service delivery.
Adversity has served as his greatest teacher, molding him into the modern leader and loving father he is today. His mother and grandparents raised Devon when his parents divorced in early childhood. His world became shaped and influenced by internalizing the pain of divorce and an absent father who was addicted to drugs; staying on course for success while growing up proved to be challenging.
However, as a young father a shift in perspective and a decision to choose growth over victimization transformed Devon’s life. He began the road to recovering his true self.  His keynotes and seminars connect these real life experiences to the power of transformation. Often called “The Connector” because of his unique ability to connect the dots for others, Devon shows participants how they can transform their own challenges into a legacy of leadership, meaning and purpose.
Devon believes that “Fatherhood is Leadership and Leadership is Influence.” He often says, “Like leadership, fatherhood is not about a position or a title, but rather the opportunity to model for others effective leadership and create a living legacy.” Devon currently lives in NYC and is a loving father to his three children. His children inspire him daily to create and live his own legacy of leadership.

  • Larry Hagner & Epic Sh*%
It is with great honor that I share this conversation that I recently had with Larry Hagner.
If you do not know who Larry is, he is the founder of The Good Dad Project –
Larry and I cover a wide range of topics such as the importance of date nights, PTSD, drinking, the importance of a solid group of men and much more.
You will not want to miss this one!
I have taken this information from his site:
MEET THE GOOD DAD PROJECT FOUNDER,
    LARRY HAGNER
Our children are not born with manuals and the Journey of Fatherhood doesn’t necessarily come with a “map.” There are challenges, twists, and turns along the way.
As much as we truly enjoy our children and being a father, we tend to internalize our struggles. When we do that, we get distracted and stressed out. As a result, we do not enjoy the Journey of being a Dad as much as we would really like to.
I am not a psychologist. I am not a counselor in family dynamics. I don’t have any accolades behind my name.
    I am like you.
I have an awesome wife and 3 amazing boys (Ethan-8, Mason-6, and Lawson-7 months).
I am an everyday dad trying to do the best job I can. I just want to be the best version of myself so I can guide my kids to be the best version of themselves.
My story and passion for being a father is a bit unique.
I grew up virtually in “fatherless environment” for most of my life. In fact, I didn’t meet my real father until I was 30 years old. As fate would have it, our paths crossed when he walked into a coffee shop eight years ago. I am happy to say we have a great relationship now and spend a great deal of time together.
It was really through my own childhood struggles that I realized my true passion for being a dad.
Connect with Larry, let him know you heard him here on this show!

  • Dave Gieselman | Brother from Another
Fair warning – this is an epic conversation with adult content! I have changed the settings for the RSS feed – I don’t want anyone to be caught off guard though!
Taken from his website https://www.become-limitless.com/ :
I am a solution focused, results obsessed, Transformational Coach. I have been exactly where you are, and could not stomach the idea that the life I was living was all there was. I work with men who all start from different places, but they all want the same end result, a rich full life that they are happy living. If you are looking for a soft-spoken, self-help guy, I am not your dude. I don’t pull punches or play soft, I have never gotten results from timid little baby steps, and neither will you. I teach men how to access and harness their dormant, primal instincts and natures, to find their most powerful, most authentic selves.
Dave is a no holds barred man who is fiercely intent on making the world a better place – not just by himself but along with you! His message is powerful, his delivery is gritty – think of it along the lines of raw honey, it will cure you but you have been told that it needs to be pasteurized..
I will let the podcast do the talking – it is a LONG one – again like honey I felt that it was best to leave it unrefined.
Those of you who it reaches needed to be reached.
Let Dave know you heard him here on this podcast!

  • Ben Nelson | Young Dads Guide
I had the extreme pleasure of interviewing Ben Nelson, author of Young Dads Guides, Guide to Pregnancy.
Trust me when I say that every young dad about to enter into fatherhood should check this book out, it is completely spot on!
We had a great conversation riddled with technical humourous difficulties, first off I forgot to press record, then we lost audio on his side.
Like, true fathers, we worked our way through it!
Ben is a devoted father of four. He became a father upon marrying his wife Emily in 2008. He continued to grow his family while working minimum wage jobs and attending college. He understands first hand, the struggle that each young dad goes through. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and an associate’s degree in Intelligence Studies. He is a veteran of the USAF, having served in multiple operations including Operation Enduring Freedom.
