  • Yeast
This past we looked at 3 different leavens found in scripture and what Jesus was teaching us through them. The Pharisees - Religious mindset, Herod - Political mindset & The Kingdom - Connection. Jesus warns us to be careful about who and what influences us. We need to have an encounter with the power and love of God and let the yeast of the Kingdom saturate our hearts so that it will work itself throughout our lives.

  • Activated Persistence
This past Sunday Eric Montgomery shared that we all need persistence when we are weary, enduring trials, facing fears, finding healing and living in righteousness. We are blessed when we persist through all these things and our reward in not giving up is a life crowned with His presence!

  • Gratitude
Throughout the Bible we learn about the character of God and how we respond to God. Our purpose as followers of Christ is to worship Him. God responds to our worship. Gratitude equals thankfulness with heart, acknowledging God’s place in our lives and faith in who God is and what He can do. Living with gratefulness goes beyond the verbal expression of gratitude, it involves actions and true gratitude expresses “thank you” not solely from our mouths, but also our hearts.

  • Goals & Touchdowns
Pastor Greg asked this past Sunday what a touchdown is for us? It’s walking and living in a relationship with God and His love. The challenge is we have to do it His way. We can’t do it or live by our own set of rules. God has given every person a unique, careful design to be just like Him. God calls us to be fruitful, to multiply and to go and make disciples.

  • Say Yes to the Dress
Romance is God’s idea. At every stage or season of our lives, there are new opportunities to discover His heart. Jesus is coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle. Saying Yes to the dress means we put on compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline and that we are quick to forgive.

  • Too Good to be True
God will cause the truths we declare over our lives to come to pass. He wants to lift off the limits that we have put on our lives. What are the dreams that God has put in your heart that you aren’t living out? It doesn’t matter how dead or dry the dreams may be in our lives, God wants to open a door today to a whole new world and revive us! God wants us to see life the way He sees it. Jesus is the bread of life, and those who come to Him will never go hungry and those who believe in Him will never go thirsty.

  • In the heat of the moment... Remember
This past Sunday Pastor Greg shared a couple of concepts with us. The “Pendulum Swing - Plum Line”, “Principles vs Presence” & “Time of Peace and Time of War”. Jesus is the way, and the truth and the life and as we live surrendered to Him, we are transformed more into His likeness. The way we react often causes so much damage and doing it His way brings life. We need to rest in the fact that Jesus is the absolute truth and submit our ways to His ways.

  • The Promise of Pentecost
This past Sunday Pastor John Scholtz shared that the first fruits offering on Pentecost were a promise of what is still to come. We need ongoing infilling of the Holy Spirit to preach the gospel with boldness and that the presence of God would manifest himself in our midst bringing revival so that it would spill out of the church and into the community. Revivals always begin with personal desperations.

  • Faith, Hope & Love
This past Sunday - guest speaker Lynn Swart shared that the definition of hope is a confident expectation of what God has promised & strength in His faithfulness. Hope is critical not an added extra. 1 Cor 13:13 - speaks about Faith, Hope, and Love being connected. The Hebrew for hope is a strong chord that cannot be broken. Faith positions us at the cross. Love sustains us and it holds us in every season of our lives. We cannot live fully without hope. Hope changes perspective! Hope get’s us ready and it changes generations.
