FKOF Premiere!

@judderbassmusic cut their teeth with a wicked show on @subtleradio. @Oddkut and the team are now stepping up with the new imprint's debut release - an EP featuring both established and upcoming "producers who provide experimental bass and UK bass music".

Here's the FKOF Premiere of @alexeyflint's inclusion on 'JRCMPL001'. You can bag 'Amok' and the rest of the EP from the label's bandcamp this Friday - 16/02/24.

"JUDDER launches its own label with the first release being a VA 'Judder Compilation #1'. Expect nine tracks, exploring bass-oriented sonics around the 130–160 bpm range, from the likes of both worldwide acknowledged and up-and-coming artists. A huge palette of sounds and different moods meticulously flows through each track from the very beginning to an end."

FKOF Premiere!

Next up on @fotosounds is @kalidubs' 021 EP - a weighty four tracker. Here's the FKOF Premiere of the title track, 'Mad Cow' featuring Vandull and Snowy...

The 'Mad Cow' EP, 'FOTO021', is out 16th February via the label's Bandcamp and drops from the usual digital retailers from the 23rd Feb.

"For 'FOTO021' we bring you a 4 track EP from up and coming artist Kali coming out of Manchester (recently relocated to Canada), to pursue his music career following his tour over there.

"The title track 'Mad Cow' featuring Nottingham MC Vandulliza known for his militant flow and style like no other, along with Snowy who has recently been taken in by 1985 and started to get the recognition he deserves has been a steeple in Khanum's sets for around 2 years now and after a long time waiting it's finally ready to be put out. All 4 tracks on 021 bring different types of energy to the table; with the title track accompanied by two of the best 140 MC's around it brings that hype, whilst 'Fanta Fruit' twist explores Kali's technical side revolving around skippy vocal chops like nothing we've seen before on Foto. Switching the flavours to the aggy 'Spartan' where our newest artist focuses on the programming of breaks showing his versatility. Last but not least wrapping up the EP the track 'Bowza' includes a flawlessly executed, melodic masterpiece, ready for any MC or host to shell down in any set."

FKOF Premiere!

Next up on @saturaterecords is a 5-track EP from London-based @whoskunas
. Bit of a different vibe from our usual, but would recommend giving the whole release a go – it's a vibe.

Here's the full-length premiere for 'Chasing'. It, and the rest of the 'Home' EP, 09/02/24. You'll be able to bag from the label's Bandcamp, and the rest of the usual suspects – so hit the buy link to pick up!

"'Home' is where the art is.

"The initial idea was to create an EP designated to my journey since I left my childhood home. I arrived in London in 2019, chasing a music career after struggling to fit in where I grew up. In no time, I felt at ease, free to be myself, and to chase my goals. I started experiencing raves in the heart of the UK and absorbing the rich underground culture that the city had to offer. It became clear –London was where I belonged, a place I’d call home.

"In my music-making journey, I explored a large variety of genres, sounds, and artists. It was cool for a while, but eventually, I got tired. I craved something else, a sound that really moved me. Despite enjoying the process, none of it felt like 'home.' Then came my 'Heartless' EP, a dive into non-traditional 'bass music', and suddenly, I felt like I found something. SATURATE! noticed my EP quickly and helped me on a journey of self-discovery and pride. After dropping 'Heartless', I knew I had found my sound. It felt so right. It felt like home.

"This was when I started the 'Home' EP project. I wanted to fully explore my artistic identity. It was my way of creating music on my terms. I never felt as much pride and joy in creating music as I did while I wrote this EP.

"Releasing 'Home' on SATURATE! was a no-brainer. They welcomed me from the start, giving me a spot in the bass music scene where I felt at home. It's a supportive community where artists get praised for pushing against the norms. This was where Home found a home." - Kunas

We premiered Bristol-based @spektiv_uk's debut on imprint @transparentaudiouk almost two years back. You lot seemed to rate it, with the upload clocking over 20k streams.

Well, we're stoked to say the pairing's happened again and the 2024 edition of Spektiv x Transparent Audio might be even bigger than the 2022 version. Here's the premiere of aptly-titled 'Bone Rattler'! You can bag this via the buy link from Friday, 26/01/24.
