FKOF Premiere!

Our FKOF familia @roklemdubs & @sebalooooo feature on the beloved and crushing @wheelanddealrecords imprint run by uncle @n-type.

The @sub_garden dons highly deserved to get picked up by such a high-end label like Wheel & Deal Records, don't you agree? 'Dreams' definitely is a worthy cut to join the boys' 'Essential' EP. Debut business and world premiere!

Make sure to support 'WHEELYDEALY088' by purchasing the limited lathe cut or by buying the digi release from 22/07/2022 onwards. Hit the buy-link to support this wicked release by the two dons...

1. Roklem & Sebalo - Dreams

"‘DREAMS’ does what it says on the tin, a deep dreamy arpeggiator takes precedence and guides the track on a ‘techy’ journey. A Thunderous Sub and 808’s storm the track, rumbling the ribs whilst a distorted, Haunting mid range bass with eerie reverb tail gives the sense of dread. The Vocal sample comes in the breakdown setting the atmosphere for the ‘techy’ roll out on the second drop. This is a sick roller and suits both dance floor and zoning out at an afters."

Uncle @ntype is known for his stellar DJ'ing and A&R work, this time he welcomes @coltcutsmusic to his imprint. From filthy stabs to the crushing basslines in 'Trim', the American producer hits the right chord for a serious skank!

'WHEELDEALY082' is out 24/06/2022 and here's the premiere ahead of the drop. Make sure to hit the buy-link attached to support this release on Wheel & Deal Records...

"‘TRIM’ is a robotic ‘Jump up’ track with a stateside skank to it. It has big build ups and bass lines to match, this track fills genre divides between ‘Stadium Sound’ and underground club tracks, you can hear this played in both scenarios and smashing it."

Been doing pretty well with FKOF mixes recently, so here's another tasty addition to the series to keep things rolling!

Tom @koast's @durkledisco is back with its latest instalment of its 'Definitions' release series. It's a COVID-delayed celebration of the imprint's 10th birthday (a milestone for anyone!) so we're stoked to support with a premiere ahead of its impending release.

Here's @unkey's inclusion featuring Dread MC, K9 and Illaman - 'Dead & Bury 2022'. This, and the rest of DURKLP007, drops tomorrow - 03/06/2022. Hit the buy link to bag!

"The third instalment of Durkle Disco’s ‘Definitions’ series finally lands, packing a bumper collection of remixes and unreleased versions of some of the Bristol label’s most beloved tracks.

"Originally conceived to mark Durkle’s tenth anniversary in January 2021 (blame Covid), ‘Definitions Volume 3’ intends to be more than just a hastily collated compilation of tracks - and label founder Koast has gone deep curating a broad selection of the full range of bass-driven sounds that have shaped the imprint’s now-eleven years in the game."

FKOF Premiere!

Been 6mo since the last pairing from them, but uncle @ntype's bagged a new @wheelanddealrecords release from FKOF fam (and @fotosounds bossman) @unkey and Bristol-based wordsmith @mc-slowie.

'WHEELDEALY087' is out this Friday and here's the premiere ahead of the drop. Bag the vocal edit and the equally powerful instrumental via our friends at Juno!

"‘SPLASH’ is the follow up to the massive ‘DISRESPECT’ single that SLOWIE and UNKEY released on WHEEL & DEAL in 2021. Following their signature dark, energetic sound, ‘SPLASH’ hits a little harder with a juddering distorted bass pattern that filters up and down and swirls around SLOWIE’S bars that compliment the beat perfectly by filling the space in the half step groove with a next level of energy. This is a banger of a track that will smash any dancefloor from Dubstep to Grime to Garage. The content in SLOWIE’S bars is entertaining enough but the level of production from UNKEY puts the icing on the cake, this is future Dubstep that breaks genre barriers."
