Stoked to have long-time FKOF fam @jahbass back in the mix for us - this time alongside his new collaborator and under a new b2b alias.

If you've clocked a JahBass FKOF mix before, you know what a treat you're in for - this new project's no different...

"Fathertz is a new project from two vetarans of the Polish dubstep and bass scene. It was born from the shared fascination with underground, electronic sounds, friendship and thousands of hours of backstage conversations in all kinds of venues. @jahbass and @fiftififti, who you may have heard on one of the many club gigs, soundsystem sessions, raves or underground festivals are now joining forces in the back2back convention. The aim of 'FATHERZ' is to promote bass music through sets played online and live. By confronting their distinctive styles and selections they create a new quality, which you can only fully experience by taking part in events involving these two."

FKOF Promo!

Another month, another release from FKOF Records and another new addition to our roster. FKOFd056 continues our focus of finding the best talent in 140 to sign, whatever their location, and we’re stoked to welcome more ‘new wave of American dubstep’ to the family.

FKOFd056 drops this Friday, 06/05/22, (pre-order live now) and is then available at Beatport one Friday after, and on general release 24/05/22.

1. Basura - Onslaught

2. Basura - Last Words

3. Basura - Secrets

'He's been on a roll (and then some) recently, but our 56th digital instalment is continued testament to our very own Korrupt's ear and A&R efforts. He hit Kyle, who you may know as Basura, up on SoundCloud and things moved quickly from there. End to end, this might actually be one of the quickest releases we've pulled together - six weeks from first contact to where we are now with the release dropping. It's easy to move quickly when the material's of such quality!

'We open the release with the rather rowdy 'Onslaught'. There's something about the dark and dirty synths in the tune that inspires the need to cause serious damage. That vibe continues with FKOFd056's second inclusion - 'Last Words' - which hits harder than a 50 cal from a Desert Eagle (whether fired by Bullet Tooth Tony or not). 'Secrets' strips things back to our preferred beats, bass and space recipe. Atmospherics for days!

'At the time of release, Kyle's got less than 1,000 followers on SoundCloud. But, if his FKOF Records debut is anything to go by, his audience is going to grow. Whatever happens next for the Denver-based producer, we know his tunes are going to keep international dancefloors busy with the 'eyes down, gun fingers up' vibe we look for in our music. Keep an eye on this artist, he's going places!'

The legend that is @djmadd is back with a new release on @unchainedasia. The 'Explorer' EP's out this coming Friday and here's a full-length listen to the aptly-titled 'Isolate'.

It's always a pleasure to get new material from Peter, and even more so when it's at our favourite BPM! You can grab the release via the buy/ pre-order link. The EP drops Friday 6th May!

“This EP is going back to some of my dnb roots. I used to listen to a lot of Digital, Spirit(Rip), Amit, Loxy etc. Artists who laid down the foundations for the halftime sound. Those drum & bass tunes with strange drum patterns and no snare drums had a big impact on me early on, and this EP is a nod to that.”

"With a wealth of production behind him and an incredible musical heritage spanning hundreds of releases, DJ Madd's 'Explorer' EP is a journey through this more minimal darker take on the classic dubby universe of electronic that he is so well known for pioneering."

FKOF Premiere!

Brand new @dubdiggerz on @deependmovement: a monster 11-track LP. Here's the debut of the mighty 'Ralos'.

You can grab the album via the buy link from today onwards, Monday 11th April. Head over to the label's bandcamp for the background on the release, or keep reading for a quick snippet...

"When Mark Divjak and Daniel Grintal stormed the Slovenian music scene as DubDiggerz, dubstep music in Slovenia was still in its infancy. The impact of their production had left marks and widely opened a path for youths to follow. Their passion for bass music is contagious, and the effort they put into production has been noticed worldwide. GourmetBeats, Artikal Music UK, PlantPower, TRUSIK, NavyCut, Duploc, and DeepEnd! are without a doubt one of the biggest labels in the dubstep genre worldwide, and DubDiggerz have releases with all of them. Through the last 11 years, they created a lot of memorable tracks, many of them have never been released and were meant to be as their special dubplates. Tunes we just loved and waited for at their parties. Now they are releasing them, so we can conjure up that feeling wherever we want.

"We can only imagine how many tracks they have created and how hard it was to pick only 11 of them - one for each year of DubDiggerz, with a bonus for all their “horror” & 207 fans."
