FKOF Premiere!

At this point, it's hard to fault the moves FKOF fam @11th_hour and @locus_sound are making. Both have been on an absolute heater recently and, judging by the next release from them, this isn't stopping anytime soon...

Here's the premiere of the title track from Jason's latest EP - the 'Illicit' EP. This, including a 'Illicit' VIP drops this Friday. Hit the buy link for pre-ordering from the label's bandcamp!

FKOF Promo!

We're almost 12 years into supporting 140bpm music on the FatKidOnFire journey, and just into our 9th year of what's become the three imprints that comprise FKOF Records. So it's fair to say we've been on this whole music tip for a while. It's therefore a continuing delight - not to mention testament to health of the genre - that we're still discovering producers that inspire a 'wait, what?!' response after all this time...

FKOFd054 drops next Friday, 04/02/22, (pre-order live now) and is then available at Beatport the Friday after, and on general release 25/02/22.

1. Depth - Hustle

2. Depth ft. Influenza - Stretch

3. Depth - Educate

4. Depth - Drift

'Our first EP of 2022, 'FKOFd054' is the latest addition to our back catalogue that did just that. It also welcomes another new member to the FKOF family. Grayson, aka Depth, has seen a release and free downloads with the troublemakers at Dank 'N' Dirty Dubz back in 2020, but otherwise (as he states on his SoundCloud) it's all 'mostly dubs'. We're super excited to welcome him to FKOF with four tunes that we know will broaden his appeal (and hopefully expand his fanbase). A special shoutout to both Grayson and our very own Korrupt for working this release up, it's hopefully the start of something special!

''FKOFd054' opens with 'Hustle' - a vibrant, skittering tune that points to a number of musical influences that work just right when put in the same melting pot. 'Stretch' sees us welcome FKOFv002 special guest (not found the secret track yet?) Influenza back to FKOF with a first-time collab with Depth. Grayson's instrumental is a slinky little thing, but matched with the Influenza vocal produces a whole other beast; demonstrating Depth's genre-spanning production skills. 'Educate' flexes more of the instrumental vibe we've found ourselves on recently, evoking Ourman or Konessi-esque atmospheres. But don't worry, it more than holds its own on the system! We close out the EP with 'Drift' which is possibly our favourite tune of the lot. Pure beats, bass and space.

'We've developed relationships with a few FKOF fam members where we've worked with them on a repeating basis (across multiple formats) because we believe in their material. We're only four tracks into working with Depth, but we're pretty sure you'll see him return to FKOF before too long. Enjoy 'FKOFd054' in the meantime!'

Hit the buy link to bag from 24/02/22!

"Bristol-based excess are back with a brand new series of collaborative 4-track releases hoping to forge unique and interesting productions from some of the label's favourite artists.

Stepping up for the first edition, Aussie 140 Maestro & excess alumni Ape Suit brings his signature sound on "Mistaken Identity", a stoic dark dubstep banger with snarling basslines we can't wait to hear this one in a dark room with a hefty Soundsystem.

"Spanning 140, half-time jungle and leftfield bass XS001 sees excess live up to their 'anybpm' mantra."

FKOF Promo!

A little later than anticipated, but @fienduk dropped a massive Bandcamp release back in February 2022. Our favourite 'Nocturnal' is a beautiful, system-oriented stepper that contains a gloomy vibe and a rich subbass that'll make your mind melt away. This is one of those tunes for the full moon, the rainy, hazy days... or a dark, sweaty club.

Fiend's masterpiece called the 'Nocturnal' EP is set for release since 04/02/2022 and is now available to cop via the Bandcamp-link attached...

@deadpestrecords are kicking off 2022 with bossman Charlie @aranha-uk's 'Hazardous Materials' EP.

Here's the debut play of A2 'Flawed Philosophies'. The EP drops Friday, January 28th 2022. Pre-order live soon, so lurk the label's bandcamp in the meantime!

"Next up on Dead Pest Records we have the big boss man himself Aranha with his 'Hazardous Materials' EP. That title couldn’t be more fitting, as Aranha gives us 4 cuts of dangerous 140 business that certainly will pose a serious hazard to your subwoofers. If you like your bassweight this is not a release to sleep on."
