FKOF Premiere!

Uncle @ntype's been on an absolute tear with @wheelanddealrecords recently - and 2022 doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon. FKOF fam @breakfake's been tapped for the new year's first WHEEYLDEALY EP and it's a fire release!

'WHEELDEALY081' is out early January - 07/01/22 - and here's the full-length drop of the EP's third track, 'Wicked and Wild'. Hit the buy link to pre-order!

"We are pleased to welcome Leeds Dubstep don BREAKFAKE to the Wheel & Deal Records family with a stellar EP to kick off our releases in 2022. The RESOLUTION EP is a blend of original foundation sounds and percussions with modern dubstep sound design. BREAKFAKE’S tracks have featured regularly on N-Type’s Rinse Fm show and also had support from DJ’s such as Mala, J Kenzo, Hatcha, Joe Nice, DeepTempo, Oddkut, Ternion Sound and more."

FKOF Premiere!

Talented up-and-comer @@iamobskure has been tapped by Czech Republic's @semfree for the imprint's final release of 2021. And are we glad that's happened!

Here's the monster second track that features on 'SEM005', and you can grab 'Yoshimitsu' and the flip from 31/12/21 - just hit the buy link.

"At the very end of the year, Soul Ex Machina is going to add to its catalogue with the fifth single on the imprint and the final release of 2021. We are, once again, bringing out a soundsystem oriented dubstep raw two-tracker, this time from the lab of London-based Obskure, as his very first appearance on the label. 'Nonsense Dub' is pure homage to the golden years of dubstep sound. Stripped down to the bones, showing its crystal crisp drums, ominous ambiences, sharp wobbles and fat subbass base. Be sure to play loud and watch ya bassbins! The flip, 'Yoshimitsu; is one of the kind of dark and evil stompers. The still-evolving drum line and percussion with rich delay work, bassline riffs and sinister atmospherics that make you feel there is fight scene approaching!"

FKOF Promo!

It’s been a pretty eventful year for FKOF Records, but we’re delighted to be ending it with a bang and by welcoming two brand artists to the imprint. We’ve been long-time fans of @Oddkut and @AbstraktSonance and when we discovered they’d been on the buttons together we knew it was material we wanted to home…

The release is available for pre-order from us today, and drops on general release 17th December - just in time for Christmas. You'll be able to pre-order from our friends at Unearthed Sounds (/ the rest of the retailers with the record) from Friday 10th December.

A1. Oddkut & Abstrakt Sonance - Warrior Dance

A2. Oddkut & Abstrakt Sonance - Mystical

B1. Oddkut & Abstrakt Sonance - Burn Babylon

B2. Oddkut & Abstrakt Sonance - Bonkerz

“'FKOFv007' joins the FKOF Records back catalogue as our latest collaborative release and, if it’s anything like the other collab EPs we’ve dropped, we know this one’s going to go off. The tunes on this record have been doing the rounds for a good chunk of 2021 so it’s only fitting we end the year with them as our final release…

“The aptly titled ‘Warrior Dance’ kicks our seventh record off in suitable fashion. It’s all sparse but tight percussion, floaty synths and grimey atmospherics. Next up, ‘Mystical’, is a more eyes-down affair with its rolling low end, punchy kicks and effective use of space. You’ll be unsurprised to hear it’s an effective tune on systems! The B-side turns things up to 11 with ‘Burn Babylon’, which introduces itself as a wicked stepper and morphs into something all the more aggressive for its second drop. You do not want to miss this one; raw vibes inside. Last, but definitely not least, we have ‘Bonkerz’ which brings us full circle back to the sparse beats, bass and space recipe we found on the A side. It’s stripped back to the bare minimum and packs a serious punch.

“We’ve been working on FKOFv007 since the end of 2020, and have been sat ready and waiting to release the tunes since we got the impeccable masters back from Beau at 1087 in March 2021. It’s wicked to finally have these four cuts ready to drop and we hope you enjoy this record as much as we’ve done pulling it together. Here’s hoping we see more Oddkut and Abstrakt Sonance on FKOF Records before too long!”

Gnischrew's @subaudiorecords stays true to its 'Subculture bass music and sound system culture.' This time the Austrian imprint invites @subtlemindmusic to its very imprint, featuring the true-school production named 'Gulps', which hypnotizes listeners thru minimalism, estranged padding and a thick layer of wobbly goodness. If you love the true sound of Dubstep, this track and release featuring 'Duck Worth' and of course the @dillard remix of Gulps are all yours...

'SUBAD020' is set for release on 10/12/2021 thru all digital vendours, therefore make sure to hit the buy-link to support this wonderful release...
