Aotearoa pressure returns to @infernal_sounds as @dustynz revisits his 'Hydro EP' through a full-scale reimagining project, inviting a global cast of producers to reshape the original material. We’re premiering one of the closing cuts of the release, the @ebb-nz remix of ‘Raveyard’, originally created alongside NZ & AU dons + FKOF familia @mabarkabeats.

NZ producer Ebb flips Raveyard into a rave-ready weapon, balancing rolling energy with deep, atmospheric tension. Keeping the spirit of the original intact while pushing it into new territory, the remix blends hypnotic movement, crisp percussion and heavyweight low-end pressure into a finale built for late-night dancefloor endeavours. A fitting ripper to a project that celebrates both reinterpretation and evolution.

'Industrial reggae' imprint @menace_systems have lined up FKOF fam @dayzero_jp for their sixth EP - the aptly titled 'CV Mirror'. The EP's a continuation of this dancy vibe we're really rating rn and we absolutely love this tune - 'Density Control'. The record's out in a few weeks, so hit the buy link to pre-order or head to the usual suspects to grab on release day...

"Balancing spacious dub modernism and angular techno exploration, Japan's Dayzero lands on Menace with a wide-ranging and brilliantly rendered four-track EP.

"Tsuyoshi Hamada has been a prolific presence in the Japanese bass music scene for more than 10 years, turning his hand to all kinds of dubstep variations for local and international labels. He's just as comfortable dealing in roots-referencing steppas as he is stripping back to a raw, synthetic core, and that makes him a perfect fit for Menace's own bassweight mission.

"This new EP leads with the metallic, intricate pulses of 'CV Mirror', a percussive workout that constantly shifts gears around a constant patter of 808 toms just crying out for creative DJs to get deep into the blend. 'Multi Peak' throws down the toughest groove of the EP with a chunky beat offset by snappy techno synth flourishes.

"On the flip, 'Density Control' navigates towards cavernous dub techno chords and a 4/4 thump with hints of UK funky and amapiano guiding the subtle rhythmic accents around the kick drum. Rounding the record off in a mesmerising, heads-down roll, 'In Parallel' weaves delicate layers of percussion through a dense bed of ambient atmospherics.

"Across the distinctive sound of each track on CV Mirror, Dayzero's approach blends experimentation and razor-sharp rhythms, stepping up to Menace's commitment to take the dance in fresh directions without giving an inch on physical impact."

The inspiration for the title comes out of Hebbe’s love for honey and we got ourselves a bee costume for some thematic visuals with a slightly apocalyptic touch."

@judderbassmusic unveils the fourth instalment of its annual bass music compilation series, bringing together another worldwide selection of producers pushing bass music beyond its usual boundaries. Rooted in dubstep, techno and breakbeat while drawing from contemporary sounds like gqom and Jersey club, 'Judder Compilation #4' documents a scene constantly mutating across tempos, influences and regional styles.

'Paloma' produced by Azerbaijan's @nattah-sound, gets straight to work with a gnarly bassline that steadily gains strength, while playful vocal work sets the tone above hefty delays that start tripping out the receptors after the first drop. Growls and additional elements slowly join forces before the next switch-up throws breakbeat-esque percussion into the mix, driving the track home with a fresh burst of rhythmic energy. Playful, twisted and weighty in all the right places.

A new chapter begins as @nomine_aka_outrage unveils ‘The Rain’, the 1st release on his newly launched 'Dance To Nomine' imprint and the opening statement of a wider body of work set to unfold through 2026. Built around reflection, movement and cultural exchange, the track signals a fresh direction while staying rooted in the unmistakable depth of the Nomine sound.

Opening with spoken word taken from The Rain by Yukio Tsuji, the piece gradually expands into an immersive world of traditional Japanese instrumentation, layered percussion and classic sub pressure. Taiko drums, koto textures and rain-soaked atmospheres meet restrained electronics, creating a hypnotic blend of world music, dub and electronica. Buddish drumming and bassweight galore, surf the Japanese wave! Patiently unfolding yet heavy at its core, The Rain is both a meditative listen and a powerful foundation for movement.

"Three-track EP from Mexican-born producer RodMan, rooted in dub stepper traditions and shaped by the Pacific coast of Mexico. Named after Isla La Roqueta in Acapulco—a place closely tied to the artist’s life—the record moves between physical landscape and sound system memory. “Luz” and “Rompeolas” draw directly from the island: the former referencing the lighthouse that guides boats into port, the latter echoing the softened crash of waves against the southern breakwater.

"Across the EP, Rodman builds spacious, bass-heavy compositions from layered samples, dubwise effects, and sculpted synthesis. “Luz” opens in shadow and gradually expands, while “H.R.B.S.” interlocks horns, rhythm, bass, and synth into a tight but breathable groove, featuring a warped Yellowman vocal sample. Closing track “Rompeolas” leans into a more reflective tone, its sub-bass swaying like a tide against concrete, with saturated synth lines hinting at trance. Produced digitally and processed through analog-style delays and reverbs, the EP stays grounded in dub’s tactile language while tracing a personal map of place and memory."
