You see, the challenge that we face is the same as Solomon’s. It’s the same as every person to ever walk this planet. Because of our sinful nature we do not see the world rightly; we do not understand its very purpose. Therefore, we don’t know how to live or think or love or suffer in the way God has designed us. But in Jesus we are made wise and can now abide in His wisdom. Our passage shows us this morning just how desperately we need Him for right living. We see that Jesus alone grants us the power and the knowledge to navigate life as authentic, redeemed children of God.

I’m going to look at this topic from a couple of different angles. I’ll share with you, albeit very briefly, how you can have certainty that the Bible you hold in your hands accurately communicates what was written by the apostles and prophets. From there, we’ll then look at what the Bible says about itself. In other words, what does the Bible claim to be. I will do my best to give you a clear presentation of what the Bible is and why it can be trusted. The rest will be left to you.

Follow along as we explore how the mission and message of Jesus is a divisive one, for it exposes the truth of who we are and what this world is. In John 7 we will see this morning that Jesus confronts every aspect of who we are and what we believe, showing us first our need and then Himself as the remedy.

Everyone has been through the Phases; Phase 1 - Ages 0-4, Phase 2 - Ages 5-10, Phase 3 - Ages 11-13, and Phase 4 - Ages 14-18. You see as a church family, it doesn't matter if you have kids or not, we are the body of Christ, and every one of us here have been uniquely gifted and placed right here and right now to make disciples of all people (this includes our kids).

Follow along as we explore what Paul teaches in 1 Timothy 3. That For God’s Household, the local church, to properly serve God’s purposes and Kingdom, it must be properly led and properly administrated.

Simply put, Acts 20 identifies for us the key essentials of a healthy local church as we are taught that Jesus has purchased the Church with His blood and entrusts her, as the Good Shepherd, to Overseers, that they lead the flock in the proclamation of the Gospel and in the maintenance of sound belief and practice.

In all we do, we are to be the household of God for His purposes and glory. Follow along In 1 Timothy 3:14–4:5 as we discover how God has established the local church to be His household and temple by which His Word is defended, proclaimed, and employed to denounce falsehood.

What the story of God written by Him and recorded in His holy Bible teaches us is that Eating of a tree led to our death; our death led Jesus to die on a tree; but by His death we may now eat rightly of a tree and find blessed life.

We see what it meant to Jesus to die for our sins. Brothers and sisters, the cup of salvation required Jesus to suffer alone the wrath of God against sin. A cup which He bore out of love for the Father and love for the sinner.
