Today we will look back on a few of the major themes found in I John as we close out our I John series.

John closes his letter with a warning to keep from idolatry.

John continues to close his letter, and in doing so discusses the knowledge we have concerning God, the truth of God, and the life we have through Christ.

John refocuses on moments of failure for the Christian. It is our responsibility to pray for each other in such situations. John also reflects, some, on praying for those outside of the faith.

John begins to close his letter, reflecting on the ramifications of having the love of God through His Son, and how that leads to have assurance in faith and in prayer.

Today, John informs us of the witnesses of the Son of God, which is the water, blood, and the Holy Spirit. He then informs us of the repercussion for accepting or rejecting the testimony of the witnesses.

Today we find that there is no fear of judgment for those who confess Jesus Christ is the Son of God, as well as a warning for those who do not love.

Today we see the significance of the important ramifications of confession in Jesus being the Son of God.
