Today we see how significant love is for the congregation, because those who know the love of God will love others.

Today we find the one greater than the one who is with us is greater than the one in the world.

Today, John instructs us on how to test the spirits, reminding us that not all spirits are from God.

John discusses having assurances on the foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The evidence of whether we are children of God or the devil is found in how we live. and so John gives us two examples to follow, the first is Jesus in righteousness and love (Child of God), the second is Cain in strife and hatred (Child of the Devil).

John informs us that the love of God has made us His children. Likewise, we are warned against deception, by informing us of the lifestyles of those who are children of God versus those whoa are not.

Today we further reflect on what it means to abide in Jesus.

Today we see the difference between those who deny Jesus is the Christ and those who confess Jesus is the Christ.

Today we reflect on the necessary schism which occurs between those who remain in the faith, and those who choose to abandon it.
