SPACE INVADAS – Original
Space Invadas is a new collaboration made up of Australia’s renowned producer and DJ Katalyst with UK vocalist Steve Spacek, who has been based in Sydney for a while now. Been hosting parties all around the city everything from soul, dub step and disco nights. The Duos first release together got the attention of BBC Radio 1 announcer and influential club DJ Giles Peterson. Giles called Steve Spacek the voice of modern soul. Steve has had a long career, in which he has worked with the likes of J Dilla, Slum Village, Mos Def, and Common, just to name a few. ARIA nominated artist and local boy Katalyst produces the catchy danceable and futuristic beats on this project. This is the first singe from Space Invadas, it’s called Original, it’s from their new album called Soul Fly, which will be out later this year. The track features MCs Buff 1 from Detroit and RuCL from Melbourne. Apparently the boys let us know that it is inspired by the idea of striving for originality in what you create.
