the Bible is light for our life. It may not always give us specific answers that we want in the moment. But overtime, it illuminates the path of our lives.

Understanding the Bible can seem overwhelming at times, especially the hard stuff that doesn't seem to make sense to us. The reason this can happen is because we don't read the Bible in its full context. In order to understand the Bible, we need to be sure we know how to read it in context. People, places, time periods, cultures, etc are all explained more clearly when we have the context behind them.

No one wants to be told what to do, right? So we say things like "you do you" and allow all people to make their own decisions. That seems to work for our culture, but does it work for God? While our culture preaches tolerance, our God preaches repentance - and the difference is life-changing.

God gave us perfect definitions to set us up for life in its fullest, but all of those were destroyed when sin entered the world. Since then, humans have been trying our best to 'rebuild' perfection our world and our souls by creating our own definitions of who we are. What if instead we listened to the voice of God and trusted that His definition of things is in fact the best thing for us?

God's grace is unfairly good! We are spared from the punishment we deserve - thank God! So often we long for what's fair, but Jesus' death on the cross was the most unfair moment of human history.
