CNN held a 2-hour townhall on the 2nd amendment to give leftists the platform to rail against guns and to support Democrats running for office.

Hundreds of teenagers congregated at the Florida capital to demand gun control legislation, and they are to be commended for taking a stand, regardless of how foolish that stand is. Criticize the policy stance, not the kids. America has a mental health problem. America has a prescription drug problem. America has an empathy problem. America has a faith problem. America does NOT have a gun problem, but that’s all we’re talking about, because America also has an emotional instability problem. Why does the media consider a traumatized person’s emotional response to that trauma, grounds for public policy change? Logic and reason be damned? Teachers should be armed and trained, but also ready to act if necessary. They are charged with the safety of their students.

The anti-gun-rights activists in the media, like Katy Tur on MSNBC, and elsewhere are mobilized.  They’re stepping up efforts to replace the 2nd amendment and attack the NRA.  This time they’re using high school students. Kids are dead in Parkland, FL. Some will use this tragedy to attempt to take your firearms. The real issue is, we leave our children undefended. Schools should not be gun free zones. That’s insanity. Chicago Police Commander Paul Bauer jumped in to help when he was off duty, and lost his life to a bullet from a repeat offender. Cmdr. Bauer’s murderer should never have been on the streets in the first place. A record like that should’ve had him rotting in a cell.

13 cops have now given their life this year to protect Americans. A Chicago Police Department commander was shot and killed while assisting other officers at the Thompson Center downtown today. Is the tea-party movement dead? Pres Trump’s budget plan will increase the national debt by over $8 trillion over the next decade. Both parties support growing the debt, and that’s unacceptable. We are bankrupting future generations, and we don’t seem to care. It’s immigration week in the Senate. Neither Republicans or Democrats want DACA to expire, amnesty is likely. Where’s the wall by the way? There is no respect for our men and women in blue. 11 police officers have been shot and killed already this year. The mainstream media hit a new low in complimenting and praising North Koreans at the winter olympics.

When Republicans were in the minority, they cared about spending and deficits, but now that they’re in power, Dems and Republicans are indistinguishable. Don’t give big government hacks an inch, just because they have an “R” after their names. This 2 year budget deal, with increased spending, debt and deficits wasn’t the work of Democrats. Republicans in congress should know better, but they don’t give a damn. Dreamers will be the next beneficiaries of congressional Republicans’ repeated capitulation. It’s bad enough that people here illegally protest our govt, making demands, but when CNN features “dreamers” complaining about DACA, threatening to leave, the obscene becomes comical.
