In this episode of F*CKING REJECTS Konstance talks to NYC creator Rhasaan Oyasaba Manning about his long career as an artist straight outta Flatbush Brooklyn. Making works in music, acting, voiceover, photography and directing, dealing with rejection and keeping it going, BONG! Konstance also touches on the tragic loss of the artist, rapper, entrepreneur and community leader Nipsey Hussle. Such a sad loss to the LA community, a true soldier. In this episode, the artist reflects on her journey, the highs and the lows, how she got started and where she comes from, and that one time she woke up to a random dude rubbing her feet on a train to Palermo. Gross.
Konstance hangs out in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn with artists and collaborators Raphael Rapior and Cody Opdahl of Keiyo Art. Raphael (AKA Captain Pongo) collaborated with artist Barron Claiborne, to bring never before seen large scale prints of “The Notorious BIG As the King of New York (K.O.N.Y.)” and his “Universal BIGGIE” photos to the walls of Bishop Bedford Gallery. The international team discuss their journeys from meeting at rock bottom in Switzerland, to creating large scale public photo installations around the world. And one lived on a ghost ship!
