My neighbor stopped over recently with her young son while we had the TV news on and it was reporting about the situation in Ukraine. She asked me if I let my kids watch the news. I told her I do.

I realized with the sensitive topics which headline the news each evening, this could be a question many families struggle with. On this episode I’m going to tell you why—and how—Corey and I watch the news with our kids.

I like to call John and Korey Cooper the “rock star it couple.” They’ve been married 25 years, they’re members of the Christian band Skillet and they’re relentless defenders of truth.

Progressive Christianity is a movement of Christians who are reexamining, redefining and often rejecting the core claims of the historic Christian Gospel but retaining the title “Christian.” My guest on this episode has personal experience of how dangerous Progressive Christianity can be.  

Alisa Childers was a member of the Christian band ZOEgirl and she’s written a book called “Another Gospel?” She started researching the truth of historic Christianity after the pastor of the church she was attending began leading members into Progressive Christianity. 

I want you to be able to recognize red flags that go up if Progressive Christianity is starting to get a foothold in your church or in a friend’s faith walk. Alisa identified some of those red flags and talked about how you can respond when she spoke during morning devotions at Samaritan’s Purse earlier this month.

International Women’s Day celebrates the cultural, political and socioeconomic achievements of women. But the world’s definition of a successful woman can look very different from God’s definition. 

On this episode of Fearless, I talk about Scriptures and women—in the Bible and in my own life—that have helped me better understand what it means to be a Godly woman.  

As women in Ukraine and other countries face unimaginable hardships today, I’m grateful for the simple blessings I and so many other women in the U.S. enjoy. I’m also thankful I don’t have to judge my worth by the world’s standards, but instead find my value as a woman in knowing that I’m a child of God.  

Whether you’re a woman or a man, I hope what I share on this episode inspires you to live boldly for Jesus in a world that has a lot of wrong ideas about men and women.

Religious liberty is a bedrock of our values in the United States. It’s enshrined in the First Amendment to the Constitution. But the ability to freely exercise your Christian faith is under attack, both in culture and in courtrooms across the country. 

Fortunately, many of those challenges are being thwarted by the Alliance Defending Freedom, which has won 13 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. Kristen Waggoner is an attorney with the ADF and joins me on this episode to tell us about some of the battles they’ve been fighting—and why they’re important to you.

The movie adaptation of Francine Rivers’ Christian fiction book “Redeeming Love” is causing some controversy. The story parallels the book of Hosea in the Bible and shows a beautiful picture of God’s love for us—even when we are in the darkest pit.

Retired Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin joins me on this episode of Fearless and lays out what you need to know about Marxism, as well as Communism and Socialism. General Boykin works with the Family Research Council and has fought enemies of the U.S.A. in battles around the world—including the Black Hawk Down incident in Somalia. 

Each of us needs to be ready to engage in the battle against Marxism right where we live, and General Boykin and I talk about how to do that. The most important part of that battle plan is remembering that our greatest hope lies in Jesus Christ.

My grandmother, Ruth Graham, said when it comes to the salvation of our children, we are to take care of the possible and let God take care of the impossible. We can’t save their souls—only God can do that—but there are other things we can do. 

There is nothing more important than praying faithfully and intentionally for our children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Just as the calendar was about to flip from 2021 to 2022, I asked God for a word to guide my life for the next 12 months. His answer came just as I was about to go to sleep for the night: Prayer.

In this episode, I will tell you a personal story of how—within a few days of giving me the word ‘prayer’—God answered a very precious prayer for me.  

I’ll also share a recap of my experience last month at the 49th March for Life and how you can pray for the pro-life movement and the important Supreme Court decision on Roe vs. Wade later this summer.

J. Warner Wallace was a Los Angeles homicide detective who didn’t believe in God--until he applied his investigative skills to the claims of Jesus Christ. Now, as a follower of Christ, he offers very practical ways for adults and children to learn how to think, not what to think about truth and Christianity.

We face a world and culture that hates God, so, how do we raise children who love Jesus? 

The answer to that question, whether you’re a parent, a grandparent, an aunt or uncle or some other influential adult in a child’s life, is we have to be intentional. Intentional in praying for our children, intentional in spending time with them and intentional in spending time in God’s Word. Those are my goals for 2022.

The Bible makes it very clear that God wants us and our children to have a deep knowledge of Him. It also warns us of what happens when we forget God. 

A lot of what I talk about in this episode comes from a new devotional I wrote. It’s called Fearless Family and there’s a link for it below. I hope what I share from this devotional helps you raise children who know and love God.
