In today's episode I have a conversation with Judy Holland.  Judy recently released a book called, HappiNest: Finding fulfillment when your kids leave home.  We talk about the issues we face as parents when the nest is empty, and now given the pandemic, several young adults are 'boomeranging' home.  It's a challenging time for everyone, and today we discuss strategies,  as Judy shares her insight as we take on the empty nest phase of life.

Judy Holland has been a journalist for more than 30 years, having spent 13 years in the Washington Bureau of Hearst Newspapers, where she was national editor, preparing stories for 600 newspapers over The New York Times wire. She also served as Capitol Hill Correspondent and was elected president of the Washington Press Club Foundation, a nonprofit celebrating female pioneers in journalism and providing scholarships for women and minorities. She has been a Capitol Hill commentator for C-Span and won the Hearst Eagle Award for excellence in journalism.

(Family and Individual Therapeutic Healing).  Also, Dr. Allen-Wilson is the Co-founder & CEO of Connections Matter LLC along with her husband.  She is the author of her first book Courageous Conversations Connect (A Pathway To Reset Your Mindset With Intentional Thoughts From The Inside Out).  Prior to her appointment as Director of Clinical Training at Drexel University, she received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Couple & Family Therapy in 2009 from Drexel University and her Master of Family Therapy degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Drexel University (formally Hahnemann University) in 1998.
