Mike Geib joins the podcast to discuss his journey as a freelance musician, composer, educator, and recording artist.

Mike is a bassist, based in Oklahoma City how is has been called a musical chameleon who thrives in classical, jazz and pop mediums. He has performed with Benny Golson, Kenny Garrett, Divo, and the Lyric Opera of Oklahoma. He is on the faculty of the University of Central Oklahoma and recently released his new CD, "Don't Panic."

Curtis is in demand as a background singer and has been featured in numerous jingles, including being the "voice" of Bojangles. He has also provided vocals for artists such as Luther Vandross, Natalie Cole, Billy Joel, Madonna, and most recently Trey Anastasio (Phish).

In addition to his tours with Bruce Springsteen, he has provided supporting vocals for Carly Simon, James Taylor, Steely Dan, and Pavarotti.

Curtis King is an amazing vocalist, with a versatility that is rare.

His repertoire includes pop, R&B and jazz, and has developed a unique and personal style of vocalization, a sound that is African and Asian inspired, often using body percussion - creating a world vibe, or a personal language that speaks to many.

Curtis is currently on tour with Bruce Springsteen and has provided background vocals for hundreds of projects and artists such as Luther Vandross, Natalie Cole, Billy Joel, Madonna, and most recently Trey Anastasio (Phish).

In addition with his tours with Bruce Springsteen, he has provided supporting vocals for Carly Simon, James Taylor, Steely Dan, Pavarotti and has worked with such notable producers as Phil Ramone, Kevin Shirley, Barry Eastman, Nile Rodgers, Jim Steinman, Russ Titleman and Arif Mardin.

Bryan is a trumpet player who graduated with music degrees from Iowa State University and the University of North Texas. During his career Bryan has enjoyed a varied and prolific performing career.

In his 20-year tenure with the West Point Band (NY), Bryan performed everything from big band jazz, classical chamber music at major sporting events, and for military and State Department ceremonial functions. 

Following his service as a West Point musician, Bryan is now a freelance trumpet player living in the New York area.

During his career he has provided entertainment in theme parks, such as Busch Gardens (VA) and Walt Disney World (FL).

Prior to joining the Back to the Future pit orchestra, Bryan is in demand as a free-lancer all over metro New York. Bryan also appears on the Radio City Christmas Spectacular orchestra.

Sharon began teaching general music in 1987. Constantly pursuing the best methods of educationally connecting with students, she is a certified teacher with the International Piano Teaching Foundation, earned a master’s degree as a Professional Educator and uses a combination of strategies to enable kids to experience concepts in the classroom. Teaching creatively, Sharon introduced Freddie the Frog to her classroom of music students in 1995 and discovered the magic of games, storytelling and puppetry in teaching.

She authored Freddie the Frog and the Thump in the Night, Freddie the Frog and the Bass Clef Monster, Freddie the Frog and the Mysterious Wahooooo, and Freddie the Frog and the Secret of Crater Island as the first of several adventuresome stories introducing fundamental music concepts.
