One of the biggest internal battles I faced for so much of my life was placing the values I wasn't even aware I possessed and lived by as an expectancy of how others should be and should treat me... cue unhappiness! Until I started my transformational feeling, revealing, and healing journey I was stuck and overwhelmed. Who wouldn't be living with a total stranger? Now it has become my mission to transform the lives of others around my own journey, openly, honestly, and more importantly with a more direct route than I took. The outcome - inner happiness and release from what holds us back in life and blocks us from becoming the fullest and truest version of ourselves.
No amount of manipulation of external circumstances will create the life we want, this has to come from within, yet we are not taught to go inside ourselves, to feel what we want to, and to understand, choose, create and align a life we want. To kick off this podcast I wanted to introduce why I believe so passionately in proactive Mental Health and why, as the famous quote from Desmond Tutu says" We need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they are falling in" It took me years of suffering, of reading, learning, and training to be able to uncover my own happiness and I want to bring these tools and understanding to people before they need them. To empower and inspire resilience to life's nurdles before they appear in our path.

Mid-forties, divorced overwhelmed, stuck, and tired of life.... I had reached a point where I simply felt I was living half a life. I was living in the shadow of who I was meant to be and had no idea how to uncover my disconnected self. I knew that there was more to life. I had to go on a journey to uncover all the things I should have known about myself, to lead the life that I knew was out there for me.
I had been continually reacting to my Mental Health, constantly trying to change external circumstances rather than look inside of myself. I hadn't ever been encouraged or taught how to develop resilience and strategies to understand and own myself. To value myself and dissolve the pain and trauma (because we all experience it to one degree or another in life) that I had allowed to keep me safe in a survival pattern, I had to let go of beliefs to step into a new chapter in life It was time to turn the volume up on taking care of myself and stop trying to battle reacting to my mind when I was not in a good place to do so and start to give it as much proactive care as my physical health.
I had woken up to the fact that life was short, and we only get one go at this, no dress rehearsal. To show up and love myself, to let go of what was not true and step into alignment of who I am. From my journey and experience, it has become my mission to empower and inspire others to discover a life they love, and a self they love even more. To drive your shift and not drift, to turn yourself outside in and truly take back the power of knowing who you are.
