In this message we hear of how the Lord is planting churches all across the world and how God-fearing men are being trained to share the Gospel. Despite the cultural and political barriers sharing the Gospel in third world countries, His Word continues to be preached.

In this message we study how the Apostle Paul thanked God for the delivery of the Gospel which came in word, power, in the Spirit, and with conviction. The believer can apply these in their testimony when witnessing to non-believers. The Gospel came to the Thessalonians in this way and believers should mirror this.

Learning the obedience of submission is a critical aspect of our Christian character. We learn it first as children in the home. We practice it in school. We are thus prepared for a life in which a good citizen and good Christian must do the same.

Our Scripture reading was in 2 Samuel 8.

We studied the first portion of the Lord's rebuke of Israel's priests. They were treating the sacrificial system, and therefore the God of that system, with contempt. God says that He would prefer the doors of the temple be shut and no sacrifices offered, rather than the heartless, evil way that the priests were operating at that time.

Our Scripture reading was in Leviticus 24.

Religion is what man does. Christianity is what God did. A Christian who has no struggle may suffer from complacency.

We continued the second part of the series in the book of 1 Thessalonians, studying the first four verses. We focused our attention on what the true evidence of Conversion looks like. This included the emphasis on three main points including works produced by faith, labor produced by love, and patience produced by hope.

In this message, we gave particular attention to how God loved Israel, evidenced in His covenant promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants. The Lord hated Esau in the sense that He did not favor him. God treated Israel much differently that He did Edom—and God is free to do how He pleases!

Tom McParlan shared how the Apostle Paul provided instructions to employers to do the following: respect their employees, refrain from abuse, and remember that you report to your own Master in heaven (Ephesians 6:9).

We began a new series in the book of 1 Thessalonians with the first two verses. We examine some details about the authors, the recipients, the greeting of the apostle, and his thankful prayer for the new church family. The application to us is not direct (as with a command) but is indirect in terms of the example of both how the church responded to the preaching of the gospel, and how Paul prayed constantly and comprehensively for the church with thanksgiving.

We began a study of the teaching known as amillennialism and gave some critique of the view, both as to its exegesis and its hermeneutics.
